@Anna Sarao, This documentary was incredibly inspring. It would be super dope if you made an actual DVD documentary about BustaGroove/BodyRock with more commentary. It would sell and I would mos def buy it, but more important than the money, it would be an inspiration to all the dancers past generation and new generation.
I remember competing in the first bustagroove/body rock. Kaboom squad!. I was so blown away by all the talented people and groups. This competition drove me to want to become a better dancer, show maker, and teammate. It helped me to discover myself as an artist which lead to the creation of jabbawockeez. I've made long-lasting friendships with many people because of this event. Nowadays, I look upon all the new talent and I'm still blown away. Keep the movement going. Keep rocking your body.On
Thank you Anna for putting this together...I've been apart of BAG and BR from the very first one in 2000 and it's crazy to see where the community has come from to where it is now. Thank you for everything you've done for the culture of hip hop dance! Shout out to all my teams I been on
I remember watching my first Bustagroove video my freshman year in college (2002) and thinking "WOW!! I didn't know dancing like this existed!" I was inspired. Then Gen2's performance in 2004 took it to a new level for me. Now a bit older, I still watch both old and new Bustagroove/BodyRock performances and still can't stop! Thanks, Anna, for letting me compete in 2006 with 909. It's one of my favorite memories from college. :)
hahaha, bodyrock was my swan song for "chroeo dancing" while i was in funks SF. fun trip, dope dancers, and even doper convos. we gettin old people! time to educate the youngin's
having been to all the body rocks...and bustagrooves... it really got me into dancing and inspired me to want to dance like my older cousins growing up in SD. even when i moved to long beach and joined pac modern in 2005, i always looked forward to the end of the competition season just to be able to go back home to SD and perform at body rock with pac modern.... always will have love for this community and anna and everybody's hard work who help keep body rock alive and well
BR was the competition on the west coast that is history for the choreography dance scene as you know it.This is for all you east coast dancers and new young dancers, here is some history.
BR 04/Bustagroove as it was back then was my first performance in the dance scene as Tarzan back when I was on Formality.
It changed my life. I wouldn't be dancing now if it wasn't for that performance. (Chip n Dale)
Just want to say thank you for brining Body Rock into the Dance Scene and representing the right values :) Keep it up! I hope I get to come to one soon :)
I live in Philly and have family in Oxnard (CI All-Male/Non-Stop)... I've been watching these videos on YouTube for almost 5 years now, and have never been to a comp out West. This video just makes me even more hungry for it.

@JayAre831 If you are referring to the very last song commemorating the BAG/BR champs, it's called Here We Go Now by DJ Kool
