Thanks for the vid, and I'd also like to ask a favor of you, if possible. If you still have this game, can you upload a video of the DCTF ground combo string that goes something like S, Delay, SSS?

These are definitely my favorite weapons in NG2 and NGS2, and it'd be real nice to see the moves that didn't make it over into the sequels.

@DongFangShuo I still got the game, however I dunno if my recording device works with Win7x64, never really tried. It was a pain just to get it working on my old laptop running XP. Maybe one day I'll look into your request, but don't count on it, as I'm just too busy in general nowadays to record vids.

thanks for the video. i was wondering why the xy xxxx yy wasn't coming out for me all the time but from your vid it looks like you need to be close to a wall for ryu to complete the coming down motion. that clears things up for me.

When you put techniques, I expected this to be useful but its completely useless.

The DCTF isn't recommended for karma running which is why I thought this vid will be about how you can use it.

@SWIFTartz I have no idea why you would have expected this to useful. The vid description clearly indicates that it's just a demonstration of certain combos since the in game list doesn't indicate how to do them.

Besides that, I recorded the vid for some people who were asking around on forums since they didn't seem to grasp the concept.

NGS > NG2. Is it me because the controls in NG2 just dont seem as fluid as NGS and I really hate the fucking camera. I also hate the fucking decapitation movie or whatever its called, sometimes fucks up my combo.

my fav 2. they needed 2 b more powerful in 2. not to say that their weak, it just that they hav to b since the story goes with them being the most powerful. too bad the lunar and scythe r the most powerful, and most cheap.

You can find them in ch.3. If you missed them, you'll be able to buy them from Muramasa's shop in the next chapter, so no need to start over.

Not hitting any direction. Just press the buttons one after the other as each hit comes out. Yes, they're level 3. You need to do these combos on an actual enemy, they won't work without one.

It's the costume that the doppelganger fiend has. You unlock it after beating hard mode.

i meant like for instance the move u did at the 18th second. after hitting the wall you landed with a square button. IN the demo, immediately after landing if u press forward triangle u can immediately start another nefritti. by the way I have this game already, just commenting

I think in the demo, you were granted On Landing (OL) status after you perform that cross slash. This meant that you had all the OL moves available to you- including Instant Charge to an UT. You can check Kanilazer's demo video for that. I think it's good that they tweaked it so that you are in recovery in the final version- it's just too good this way.

By the way, if you watch Kanilazer's video, you'll also see that, if you perform a downward kick from high enough in the air (with the Nuchucks or Vigoorian Flail), then you can also pull of a Instant Charge On Landing, which I think adds a new element to those two weapons.

in the demo of this game u could continue a nefritti after a dropping with the square button , doesnt work on the game

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I yes I did notice a couple of differences with the weapon's mechanics between the demo and actual game. I haven't played the demo that extensively, because I do have the game after all.

Thanks for posting this and clearing things up for those of us who are interested but don't have the PS3.

So the ground combo strings for this weapon sucks because of long recovery right? Does that mean just the fact that it takes Ryu a while to return to neutral, or does that also mean that he can't instant block during recoveries?

It means both pretty much, but the recovery time isn't too long. You can still cancel in the middle of a ground combo by blocking and Ryu will block an incoming attack if you do.

It's not that bad though as the weapon does have its uses. It's particularly good against the first Alma fight.

That could take a while and honestly, the DCTF doesn't have that many notable techniques. If you're thinking of getting a PS3 just for Sigma and you already have Black, then it it's not really worth it unless you're a hardcore NG fan. If you already have a PS3, just download the demo and try out the weapon. Just search around for its complete movelist.

Uh, thanks I guess. These combos aren't anything special though. Each of them has a name that's listed in the technique list for the weapon. Some people didn't know how they were executed, so I made this video.
