What is wrong with people!!!!!!!!!?? Even if this movie is a bit cheezy or a B movie ,come on people wake up! The acting is great in this movie! Daniel Stern and Christopher Curry etc.. are great! And the monsters are cool looking and scary ,no stupid ,crappy, glossy hollow looking CG computer graphics here! The music is great and the spooky atmosphere of the sewers!

The 80's was the era of bad very bad horror and sci Fi and other monster flicks. The late 70's started it though. Final Warning,I think that's the name of it,it came out way before Predator , but boy it was bad,and gore filled. the Hell Raiser sequels weren't the best either,ha ha ha ha ha.

@xXDarkXx92 Thats because in old films the monsters were really there, now it's all CGI, which no matter how good, always looks off. Give me a cotume any day, only use CG to enhance the monster, like make it glow or turn invisible or something. but thankfully this is not true for all movies, that tadpole thing from The Host looked pretty real.

That's because the monster movies of today use CG rather than the suits and animatronics that were used during the golden age of horror movies. "Real" monsters (ie, people in suits) have a substance to them that you simply cannot get with fake, intangible CG creatures.

Prime example : the Alien franchise. IMO, the more recent CG Xenomorphs utterly pale in comparison to the frightening realism that was obtained in the early movies. A guy in a suit STILL trumps millions spent on CG.

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) I haven't seen the Troll II movie. But there are some clips on youtube. And they give me the impression that somebody said: "hey! I got an idea! Let's grab my new camcorder and get together some of my neighbors, friends, bar buddies, and anybody else we can get; and make a sequel to an already cheesy horror movie!"

I remember some years back watching an advert on the Sci-Fi Channel for a "World Television Premier!!" movie "from the Sci-Fi Channel!!!", that was called "Zeram" (or something like that". I swear, the monster on the clip looked like Production sent someone down to the local Walmart and bought something at the Bargain Bin for $4.95.

I've often wondered if the Sci-Fi Channel isn't owned by some cardiologist or something, and he uses it as a tax write-off.
