Ok, the statistics look interesting but why all the questions involve a 6 month after surgery period? Is that the maximum period that the eye needs to recover from the surgery? Because if the final result is after 1 year for example then the results will be totally different. I remember when I broke my nose and I had to repair it with a nose job, it took me about 1 year to feel that my nose is back in it's place, although just after few weeks everything was looking normal.
You see. Even if %.01 has an issue, that's good enough for me not to FK with the only pair of eyes Iv got. I'll take a chance on other things. But when eyes are involved, I'll stick to my specs. Almost all have problems anyway. So WTF is the point on waisting money and getting stitched!
@khartoba Many of the failed results are due to patients either chosing the wrong doctor (the guy at the mall offering to do your LASIK for 1000 is the wrong choice) or doing something to mess up the healing process.
Get a responsible doctor who uses up to date technology and actually cares? Sure he/she will cost more (easily 4000 for both your eyes) but you're looking at a very large chance of not suffering negative side effects.
There are risks with EVERY surgery, EVERY procedure, not to mention how difficult these statistics are to compare, light sensitivity? Well they come out thinking they are superman, it could be reduced light sensitivity but because there is still SOME, they mis-interpret it as more, disappointed, in essence.
with a suitable patient and a good lasik surgeon, i honestly believe u have a greater chance of dieing in a car crash on ur way home from work tonight than going blind.
I REALLY REALLY HATE this song!

@Greco1114 That is a question for the fda. They consider lasers safe based on this information.

Gay! How many of these "failed" surgerys are at the fault of the patient?

Very interesting. I wish people would understand the risks involved with the surgery.
What is the song/remix used in the video btw?
