  • Am I missing the point here or is this for tree huggers? It's 5 times the price I just paid for a caddy...

  • @GreggersXXX -You are right, a single caddy may be cheaper. But with a caddy you still have no solution to store your disk drive other then put it in a bag or hide it in your drawer. Also your caddy is limited to USB or eSATA. With the BytePac you can use USB2, USB3, FireWire, SATA, eSATA or even Thunderbolt. You also can use IDE or SATA drive - try this with your caddy.

  • @GreggersXXX - 5 x cheaper ? Did you bought your caddy at a junk yard ? - I checked at google and could not find ANY caddy for 8.00 € or less ... tell us where can we buy caddy's for that price :o)

  • Mother of God... genius!!

  • good idea wouldnt recomend it for portability as the cardboard would get beat up fast but archiving and backup its pretty good you can label the box and store it and get access to it pretty quickly i may have to get a couple of theese

  • Cool! I like the fact that you can change the interface at any time. Today USB2, tomorrow USB3 and in the future Thunderbolt. Very cool product, simple and clever.
