  • I'd honestly never heard of this, how did you get a copy?

  • I first played it as head of QA for Fasa Interactive in 1995. The title went away when Absolute went belly up. Currently GoodDealGamesis selling copies of the Beta featured in this video. Or they were a year ago.

  • @LynxVGL Holy shit! I'm fascinated. Funny, I've been rereading the Gray Death books lately. Do you think we could speak somewhere more convenient like Steam or AIM or something sometime?

  • @fredrickpendragon shoot me an email at chapmanc at greenville.k12.mi.us

  • I don't believe many people were even aware of this game. There was a small ad for the game in some of the old sourcebooks but not much additional info.

  • Is that Zentraedi Glaug?

  • @Da1shocker Yes. As for why... FASA originally had permission from a company that had permission from Studio Nue to use several Macross mecha. The Zentraedi Glaug became a Battlemech called the "Marauder."

But when Macross (and Southern Cross and Mospeada) were dubbed as Robotech, legal matters over the use of the designs got messy. That's all that needs said about that, I think.

  • This didn't look half bad.

  • Id love to play that. I wonder why it was never released.

  • @JTwinTurbo Absolute went out of business before the title could be released. It's a pity they didn't sell the license or project to someone else. Also this was at the end of the 16bit Generation and possibly no other developer wanted to finish it. The game engine is the same as their RDF Global Conflict tank game.
