If Clint had never made it as an actor he'd probably be complaining about the exclusivity of places like Pebble Beach. I saw him at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am practice day and he was the only celebrity who was refusing to sign autographs and would not even acknowledge the people. I was hugely disappointed by this. Yeah, pebble beach has always been gated... we snuck on during a elementary school field trip and I have one of the pebbles still. But we got in trouble. They saw us way out on the end and they came right away and told us to leave... that was way back in 72. Clint is typical, does some good things, does some bad things. Great movies though!

Some local families had a fish-camp on a beautiful beach in Maui for about 14,15 generations. These beaches have been used as fish camps for hundreds of years. They were camping and fishing and enjoying life as the Hawaiians once did.

One day a man named Clint came along with 5 of his armed guard thugs and took all their gear, harassed them and said that this was now private property owned by a Mr. Clint Eastwood and they must leave immediately or be arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Well as you could imagine this was news to them as they had been on this island since even before Captain Cook or King Kamehameha had been there (thousands of years).
