@saltwaterflow3r you are correct. It records in std, 720 and 1080. This particular footage was shot in the 720 setting.

It records in 720 and 1080. I only had it set to 720. Audio is pretty good but not underwater and also when it comes out of the water it takes a few secondsfor the mic to clear up.

I got one of these a month ago on Craigslist for $35! I only have 1 video on my channel as of this comment, and it was recorded with it. Very satisfied with this camera. Especially for $35!

I got this camera for Christmas, and just today I used it in my tub just to test it. When I took it out, the microphone went all foggy/ unclear, and you couldn't hear well. I tries shaking the camera, drying it off, and blowing the speakers but it still sounds wierd. My next resort is to put it in an airtight container filled with dried rice for about and hour or do. Let's hope it works!!!!

Ive recently bought a playsport and sent it back because of the speaker problems. They told me it was normal but I havent believed them until i saw this. I got it back today. Still disappointed cause I read up on the camera before I bought it and no one mentioned anything about speaker problems.

@MrCurtisProductions a more severe problem is when the usb cable connector on the phone starts to fail. You have to move it around until it connects properly. I have to lay it in funny positions to get it to connect. The more I finagle it the worse the problems gets.

@CaRniValCiNeMAs Nope. Sinks like a rock. It has a wrist strap though. I've taken it to the lake several times and I just hold on tight to the strap.

@LoriliLee yea...when the mic goes under water it takes about a minute or so for the water to drain out but after that it's fine:-)

@SnowflakesLaura Well...it may be, but judging from the movies posted here on YouTube and Vimeo, there's no doubt the Zx3 seems better than the Camileo one. Maybe Camileo exports are choppy or the users couldn't handle it well...but, again, judging solely from all the samples I saw, Zx3 always provides a clearer, sharper and better image. Zx3 also can go deeper underwater. But Camileo is a GREAT cam too. Zi8, Camileo, Zx3, all great hardware for the price paid.

@weezyfan25 it stays like that for 30 seconds or so...just until the water drips out of the mic. You can shake the water out. that cleans it out immediately.

is there like a waterproof option? because the sound is okay when the videos arent waterproofing but with it its blurred

@omgzJENNA well the camera is waterproof, i'm guessing that you mean for the mic, there's not really anything you can do about the muffled sound it has after going underwater well the mic's still wet.

@Flightkid9 yeah, but they could have put a some sort of way to seal the mic off from getting wet so you open the mic back up when you get out of the water or come to the surface. I love this camera i really do, but it sucks that when we are doing the family vlog at the ocean or pool i always have to do some music over the footage to make it more entertaining....

It is a great little pocket cam. Got mine during a sale at Amazon for $130 shipped that included an 8GB SDHC card. I'm sure they'll have the same sale again at some point. ;-)
