This movie along with Lets Scare Jessica To Death and Dead And Buried are the most underrated horror films ever made. It is a shame that more people don't know about this film. It is finally on dvd so maybe people will finally find it and possibly like it.

i want to watch this movie now. Looks pretty amazing. Though anything is amazing with Zeljko Ivanek in it. :) He looks so handsome when he's young! He still looks good even today though.

I've has this on my wish list since forever when I read about it in one of my (many) horror movie books. In it there's a picture of a TV with the college guy's face on it & a severed head on the floor!

I have also been searching for this movie for awhile. I was probably 8-10 when I first saw it and though I dont remember much I do remember a scene in what I think was a public restroom, and lots of blood and just a feeling of pure dread.

interestingly evocative music, esp. for non-major horror movies of the time. it has some lush eerie notes kind of mixed into part-wondrous, part-sweepingly melodramatic music that i dont like so much, but it does establish a heady, evocative atmosphere and doesnt open in a corny predictable way. but trevor jones' truly masterful musical score is for "angel heart." can you please upload the whole movie, "the sender"?
