  • This is easier said than done. Takes dedication and massive amounts of practice.

  • watch his feet when he his says he wants to fade it just open the clubface he also opens his stance he closes his stance for a draw

  • thank you mr nicklaus you thought me more than a professional golfer would teach me .my gratitude for teaching this .

  • If U take a look at golf My way-Golf Swing by Jack Nicklaus-You will find the biggest secret in golf not dicussed too often.Put the arrow from your mouse over his hands in the take away/set up from both the back and side views. Now notice how in the down swing how his hands are way in front of the mouse arrow position. This shows how he shifted weight and then lagged the clubhead through being dragged by the handle.Swings W shoulders after he shifts weight to the left.Very repetitive =upright

  • dont listen to that non sense... hes gifted

  • Easy as that...I wish! brill stuff..

  • Easy as that...I wish!

  • great video. It is true, clubface is ALWAYS the king. If you can control the clubface, you can play golf.

  • That one dislike must be from a die hard Tiger fan...

  • i can hook and slice the ball brilliantly, shame i do it without wanting to though...

  • Jack's still the greatest. He has no need to be doing this at this point in his career, but he spends time w/ these kids. Has to be a thrill for them to get instruction from the greatest golfer who ever lived.

  • i'll take his advice over any other instructor or Guru. He's the greatest of all time

  • @Gyro911 I agree! I would love to learn how to hit the driver and long irons from Jack, have Tiger teach me his recovery game, have Ben Hogan teach me how to hit short irons, and have Phil teach me his short game!

  • Jack makes it looks so easy!

And he makes it lot more simple than most of the teaching pro taught today!

  • "One Basic Swing for all basic shots. The Grip is the same. The Aim is the same. The Ball position is the same (except for high or low shots) for all basic full swing shots. The Swing's Arc & Plane is the same. The Rhythm & Tempo is the same with all shots." This simple approach to "One Basic Swing", and eliminating varible elements in the set-up and swing can make anyone a better player at any level. Mr. Nicklaus, thanks for sharing these timeless fundamentals with the world. God Bless Ya'.

  • isn't there more to this? golf digest, leadbetter, haney, and mclean would have me think so!

  • Grip properly, aim properly, head steady and the middle of your body" Build One Basic Swing, and adjust the club-face for up or down, hook or slice."

What more do you need to know?

  • The Golden Bear!!

Now there is a true champion!!

  • look at the irons jack is using, can anyone tell me the type? they look like they're old style blades

  • @Nightwing690 im not quite sure but they almost look like titleist forged cb or mb go to the titleist website and you will see what i mean

  • Dead on perfect. One thing that helped me also is the concept of swinging around your head. Keeping the same posture through the swing and you finish your swing and your body is in the shape of an "r". I can't tell you how much this has helped me. also remember, a nice easy swing, let your arms fall on plane and holy shit will you be amazed. I am going throug back pains now because of playing for 2 months swinging to hit the daylights out of the ball. Well now, my swing doesn't hurt :)

  • beautiful!!! what an absolute champion. Thanks for posting this.

  • at last the truth be out there.. THERE ARE 4 WAYS TO HIT A BALL BUT 50 MILLION IDIOTS.

  • All of you swing theorists bow down to the simple greatness that is the golden bear.

  • this is good i mean i have seen so many lessons on youtube and they are soooooo complicated and this explains everything in 1:24 awesome video

  • w8... thats the secret to golf?!

  • Golden Bear Baby. True Greatness on and off the course.

  • wow he just made the golf swing simple and easily understandable in less then a minute and a half

he kept it simple, no wonder he was such a great champion time after time

  • @brh5934 yeah, assuming you make the same exact swing and hit the ball the exact same way, with the exact same club, on an exactly level surface every time, you'll be great!

  • @monkymaniac629 yeah thats the point tho. If you develop one swing and repeat the same basic fundamentals your shot dispersion should be minimal

  • @brh5934 abosolutely, i think that a lot of teachers overload their students with to much technique and mechanics, where fundamentals are really the key to understanding the game

  • @brh5934 well it's a little more than that. it takes a ton of practice and a ton of talent.

  • mister nicklaus, a golf master and champion, god bless him.

  • greatest golfer to ever live.

  • simplicity at its best.......true champions do this

  • Jacko the Jack man keeping it simple.
