Battery alarm clocks are the way to go, but I have yet to see one with a radio and with numbers that you can see clearly in the dark, which is my personal preference.
As for DC alarm clocks I don't agree. See my Youtube video "Does Your Childs Bedroom Have This Hidden Danger?" and you will see why. Those DC transformers are v. bad news.
I found a DC alarm clock (it uses a wall adapter). It seems to be much better. I think it is just the AC alarm clocks that are the problem because they use cheap high voltage capacitors that leak all that EMF. I've also never had a problem with a battery powered alarm clock.
