This and Your Dogs are the only two Ben Folds songs worth listening to off Lonely Avenue. It is too bad Nick Hornby wrote the entire album and Ben only put music with it. But, this is a pretty sweet tune. I saw him perform this in Champagne, IL and it was pretty sweet.

@tank9244 Nah man I thought the album was great! Practical Amanda is a gorgeous song. So is From Above and Picture Window, both of which have really meaningful lyrics in my opinion. Claire's Ninth is another great song, very melodic. It does have some weak tracks, but so do all albums! I'm not trying to like troll you or anything, but I definitely think this album is a great piece of work, especially when compared to 90% of other modern music. But your entitled to your opinion, I respect it.

@tank9244 I agree. No offense to Nick Hornby, and I respect that Ben is trying something different, but other than those 2 songs you mentioned, the album's a little weak. Hopefully Ben goes back to doing 100% of the writing on his songs from now on. In the meantime I will continue to listen to Lonely Avenue and hopefully it will grow on my like a lot of his songs have.

His short stories were good, however, Ben brought them to life by giving them sarcasm, character, attitude, and a realistic modern mentality.
