I allready have the "nine eagle chip (fp)", would like to put this fuselage on my CopterX 450 me, but how about the two tail stabelizer bars between main frame and tale ? they won't fit in the fuselage.
This things may very well cost a bomb...with all the parts and everything it should be about 200-300 with all the parts, ready to fly ,transmitter and reciever+the batteries but you shouldnt get this Trex 450 XL,it is quite good but is lousier than the trex 450 SE which is more cutting edge and has carbon fibre up to date but you could also mod the trex 450 xl with a carbon fibre canopy but may cost yuo u to $150 just for the carbon fibre materials alone.
Nice thing about that canopy is that the visibility would be good too compared to the canopy and boom set up; am I right? Orientation is easier as further distances.
if enyone is intrested in a trex 450, send me an email at (nitro_young@hotmail (dot) com) i can get you one for the best price you will ever find brand new.
This round nosed version was a Hughes original, not carrying the McDonnell Douglas "MD" badge at the that time, and wasnt bought out by them until 1884.
I dont uderstand why M.Douglas wanted to change the name of the original they had nothing to do with by calling it an MD.
where did u get the body for that helicopter. i can only find one to fit the Zoom 400 which is a poor helicopter the T-rex range is alot better. any details would b very helpful. cheers
QUESTION- how/where did you fit the battery? I'm trygin to fit mine on my fuselage.. seems super tight.. thanks! by the way.. your videos as super sweet... keep it up man..

It shouldnt really be called an MD500.
Its a Hughes 500.
