This is crap because your showing the settings different than what I seen on mine screen. My G5 mouse does not work with any games with the button settings, only it works with right and left buttons. How do you get that keystroke box to appear? My does not do this.

@DeepPurple21 I'm sorry, i just noticed your post. It's impossible to recommend 1 mouse for someone because everyone has a different style and features they expect. Personally i'm a Razer fan because I feel Razer mice has the best sensors and click buttons. The Logitech G5 sensor is garbage so I would avoid that. I currently use the Abyssus and love it because I grip my mouse with my finger tips, not my palm. If you're a palm guy you may like the Mamba/DA. The Imperator is the happy middle

@DeepPurple21 It's the way you hold the mouse. The palm grip is when you lay your palm on the mouse and mainly use your arm to move it. Fingertip/claw grip is when you grip your mouse with the tips of your fingers and your palm won't really touch it.

Hey, set the dpi settings and everything to what you want in the mouse settings for the logitec mouse software, and now when you are in game you hit forward on the mouse and the settings you saved are now what you are using. hope this helps!

Senquell.. do not buy roccat cone it sux I had two they broke.. and laser isnt really good for fast fps games such as CS so go optical "DeathAdder" is optical and it got good ratings.. but I did not like the shape on the mouse simply because my hands are too big :P but if u got big hands or long fingers then I recommend u get ikari optical or this G5 or maybe Gigabyte GM-M8000 Gaming Mouse..dont get copperhead its too plastic and too light it just sucks

Your getting the reply from the right guy. I use this mouse, and I always play CS:S. It's a very good mouse, and I recommend you should get it. It may look ugly on the bottom, but it the grip on the mouse feels VERY good, while in-game or just browsing the web. The customizable weights are very customizable (I use 2 1.7 gram weights in the cartridge), and the software+drivers are very powerful, accurate, and customizable. You won't regret buying this! ;)

Got one, its really comfortable, made nice, doesnt feel cheap or smth like that. But setpoint doesnt detect any games... So i cant my DPI normally as i use on desktop, firefox, etc... So thats really bad.

I have some problems with this mouse. I am using it for about 6 months. It worked realy nice on windows xp, but now I am using windows vista 64 bit. My mouse just keeps freezing for about 2-5 seconds. Dont know how to solve this problem.. any ideas?

Your thumb is in that little indent on the side, so they aren't annoying at all.

they're SO USEFUL IN WEB BROWSERS, it's so much easier to just click the back button instead of moving it up to the arrow, or pressing backspace.

It's in alluminium and it has one control side and one speed side.I use low sensitivity so i use the control side but it feels very weird and i play even worse with it, so I really don't know what to do.Will I get used to it or... ?

You probably aren't used to the sensitivity/accuracy increase.

Just give it time and try to get used to it.

I remember the problems I had when I tried to switch from 1150 dpi to 2000, I was so bad, but I got used to it, and now i'm better than I used to be because now my mouse doesn't take as long to get to someone's head.

Yeah, I hate my Sidewinder the overall shape and the drivers suck. Also my hands are big, but not big enough as you need extra long fingers to use it comfortably because of the hump being so far back. The Quick launch is useless and your palm can activate it during your gaming, bad very bad...

Its a great mouse for gaming. I've been using it for 1.5 years now. Fits my hand perfectly and the precision is great. The only downsides are probably its a little large for people with smaller hands and the mouse software is horrible and glitches a lot when you try to change sensitivity in game. I recommend finding a sensitivity you like and just uninstalling. But overall i recommend it.

Probably. I like the original version and this one is a bit more refined. The laser will probably have acceleration cap and might not keep up with fast movements, but I play on sensitivities that are fast enough for the mouse to keep up.

So if you play with a low sensitivity, the fastest movements might not go as fast as you would want to.

Best mouse I've had so far, had MX 510, then MX 518 and now G5... feels like an upgrade, and prefer the texture on it too. Ergonomically this mouse is the best for IMO. Can always trust Logitech, been in the business long enough to do things right

I use all the 4.5grams on the cardridge thing I like having it heavy =) I always have the running man the one in the middle when i snipe the lowest when i play normal highest, snipe lowest, and doing random internet surfing normal stuff i always put it in the middle =D it feels very comfortable nice reaction time, ima try it out on a game right now!

i prefer the mx518 for a couples of reasons but i got a problem with the set point software. it recognizes games but it auto chooses the key bindings for you for each game it recognizes. it should let you set up key bind profiles that you can set for each game you play Because when you have to remap a game like wow every time there is a patch it's a real bitch, as well as remapping back and forth between games, it's such a pain in the ass. Maybe it's hard to explain.

Does the G5 has the notorious freezing problem that the MX518 gets? It been less than 2 month since i got my MX518 and it freezes for 2-3 sec disconnects then reconnects to my computor. this happens all the time with MX518 and MX510.
