  • No tour of the bedrooms? No tour of the basement where Kevin was afraid of the furnace?

  • I think the countertops looked better in the movie, and did they really change the famous side door into a screened in porch?

  • Such a stunning house, if I had the money i would buy it in an instant and move from the UK and turn it back into the original. If I ever make it rich, I will one day own this house :)

For now, I have to settle by watching your great video and dream :)

  • i have $29, it that anough??

  • I would love to see a little bit more of the house. Just showing the main floor was a bit of a tease, but I think this video has been my top ten favorite showings that you have done. I missed the address, how close is this house to downtown Chicago?

  • why does it feel like this video is going to turn into a porno at any moment?

  • I know you can go outside and take pictures of the house, but can you go inside and take videos and pictures if you just want to look and not buy it?

  • @foralldisneyfans No. This is a private home.

  • @YoChicago1 Okay thank you. I just wanted to know because my sister and I are huge fans of the movie and we will be passing by in the summer to take pictures of the house, but now that I know we won't be going inside it just taking pictures. Thank you again for letting me know.

  • Marissa Hopkins resembles Kevin's mom.

  • The small greenhouse outside is as big as my entire apartment!

  • This is a nice house.

  • BTW the treehouse was taken down right after the movie, it was only built for the movie

  • @secretname1000able I was just thinking about that. Thats interesting.

  • they ruined the house, nice going

  • where was the backdoor that kevin shoots out? that was in the kitchen, must have moved the door.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this was the house in Planes, Trains and Automobiles as well.

  • horrible taste in fashion

  • I was just speaking my mind! It's a beautiful house, I just disagree with the decor haha

  • Who ever lives there has horrible taste

  • @JBeezify And whoever would write something like that has horrible manners.

  • @YoChicago1 hahahahaha OWNED....there is always one jealous person..at $2.4 million, I would do whatever I wanted to do to my house too no matter WHO likes it.

  • @YoChicago1 How so? We're just airing our opinions on the home, not slagging off the designers or owners! each to their own!

  • @JBeezify The layout is great, but I don't like the white kitchen units one bit!

  • @JBeezify you would know about horrible taste buddy!

  • I would probably have everything restored by the wallpaper. It would be cool to own this house because it's from the movie and also pretty cool that the same Grocery store that was used in the movies is still there. You would probably have people stopping over all the time just so they could see the house. Yeah it kinda sucks that the current home owners changed a lot in the house but they also know with all the updates the house would sell for a whole lot more.

  • we didn´t see the basement or upstairs. hhmmm still i like the video, it was cool to see it. prefer the furnitures in the movie though. beautiful house- wish i could live there! did they sell it yet.

  • is it lightning you can see in the sky. and why didn´t you show the garage, when she talked about it and pointed. did you fall in love lol

  • If you was to buy this house in the U.K you would be l;ooking at 10 million not 2.4 million

  • @georgina7744 i think it needs some fixing.

  • @georgina7744 U.K. = Euros

    America = Dollars

    Get an educated

  • @SouthernSOM UK = £ lol

  • @SouthernSOM Euros Dollars Pounds Whatever!!! I love that house and I thought mine was big but now I have seen that Wow!!

  • Great house!!! The only bad thing is that, people will come and look at the house EVERYDAY, and thats pretty anoying...! But IF I had to money and it wasn't used in a movie, I would probably buy it...! :) LOL

  • wheres the back door in the kitchen where Kevin tied the blowtorch to?

  • @metalmaniac622 It's gone, from what I saw in the movie, it was next to the wall where the stove is ; in it's place there's kitchen furniture now. (plus, the sink appliance was at further distance from the stove)

  • Comment removed

  • I'm sorry I wouldn't want to have that beautiful home and keep it decorated like my grandma"s house.. Remember in the 90s when wallpaper was in! Watch the movie it was an over kill...

  • Wheres the tree house?

  • If i was rich i'd buy this house and restore it back to the way it looked in home alone

  • @huskerfevernu2 You read my mind, I would do the samething, it just doesn't look right compared to the way it did in the movie.

  • They shouldn't have redone it.

  • ew what happen to the kitchen?! i want this house so bad!

  • Love your video. My sister has been there and she loved it. I hope to visit the house one day.

  • Love this house but, I wish it looked the same as it did in the movie. In the movie it had a warmer family feeling. The updates seem a bit cold.

  • @tammyvidalia ya i agree but im sure if i bought it i would try and remodel it to look exactly like it did in the movie you would just have to hire a good interior designer to replicate it from watching the movie or looking at pictures from the movie of the different rooms and all the furniture and stuff the big thing u would have to do is find the wallpaper or at least one that looked a lot like it and then get rid of those tile floors

  • We didn't get to see all three stories :(

  • @WonderWomn87 i wanted to see the attic with the hide-a-bed lol.

  • It's really interesting how similar alot of American interiors look to me (I'm English). Lots of white wash furniture, very new looking "antiques" - the red and orange wood. Heavily but not ornately carved detailing on furniture etc. And always, somewhere, 1980s/90s murals/wall and tile paintings. How old would this house actually be? Is it not more advantageous to restore it to its period features?

  • @ursie1986 P.S - that sounds a little hostile, which was not my intention! Just curious about its true provenance (rather than Home Alone, haha.)

  • Ever since I laid my eyes on that house I wanted it!

  • @rapideye97 Hahaha. Awesome! Totally pictured joe pesci saying that.

  • Can you tobboggan down the stairs and out the front door?

  • i hate the kitchen update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This would've been soooo much better if it was tha original furniture and setup as the moive!!

  • that house was perfect the way it was.should've left it that way..this way looks crap

  • "Merry Christmas you FILTHY ANIMAL!"

  • I'll take it in full for $1.65 million.

  • Ew, I don't like the new remodel. They should have left it alone. There was a second staircase in the kitchen in the movie. The basement door in the back of the house is not there. I fell in love with this house when I first saw it. If I had the money to buy it i'd return it back to the way it looked in the movie. So cozy and comfy!

  • "LOOK WHAT YA DID YOU LITTLE JERK"

  • "Ever since I laid eyes on that house I wanted it!" - Marv (former cat burglar) ;)

  • @vinylated Actually, that was Harry who said it.

  • if i had this house i would do everything kevin did

  • If only three stories, does the house have a basement? Didn't see the stairs in the back.

Also, where is the backdoor where Kevin shoots Marv in the head?

  • the real one looks smaller

  • How many sq. ft. is the home Marissa?

  • @nicholerichter A little over 4,200 sq. ft.

  • NO NO NO IT HAS TO BE SNOWING

  • would love to live here, if i were rich i would call this place home too, plus i grew up in Milwaukee, so close

  • so different!

  • That house is beautiful inside. I wish I could buy it.

  • The decor is ok. But if I had the money... :)

  • I wish I could go visit that house

  • well if had the money like a lottery win or something id by the house and have it completely restored to the way it was in the film .... then id have some fun lol re-enacting the whole movie

  • who is selling it? who was the owner when home alone had been making? I wonder, how they get all neighbourhood for a loan to make the the movie

  • if i bought that home first thing i would do is run around screaming "FREE !! IM FREE!! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" LOL

  • imagine looking at Home Alone in that house.....inception shit right there!! :P

  • Most of that furniture was kinda old.... i guess to fit with the style of the home... but they could of done something better

  • Wow if I live in a place like that my life would be settled

  • who else noticed the sunroom windows facing the high-gloss tv screen. with that glare, that shit is useless.

  • i want to live there

  • Uno the house is not worth what they are asking.but since it was in a movie they jacked up the price say another million. A house not in a movie with everything the home alone house had in it you could get for half a million or maybe even less then that.

  • @jointmatch In rural Nebraska maybe.

  • It's a verry beautifull dreamhouse! But it's somewhat different as in the movie! Mainly the kitchen! Where is the 2nd stairs?

  • @RSVid79 The second set of stairs were implemented off-scene at a nearby high school gym. A mock up of the home was built for most of the scenes. In fact the only scenes filmed in the home were the stairs and the outside along with the steps leading into the basement from the outside, which were filled back in with dirt after the production was completed.

  • wow imagin actually living in that house you would always be making references to the move lol

    it would be so cool

i wonder if the treehouse is still out back

  • @steveothehulk The tree house is not in the back anymore. In fact, it was taken down after the production. The homeowners, Cynthia and John Abendshien, were given the option of keeping it or having the set crew take it down. Unfortunately, they decided to have it taken down for liability and insurance purposes.

  • Ewwww

  • This house 20 years ago was the best

    but now its not best

i like the home when 1990

    home alone 1 and 2

  • @djxfansAr It is indeed still beautiful but the interior is not as pretty and warm with rich colors as it used to be. I loved the very traditional furniture that it used to have. The furnishings in this clip are very blah and not great looking or fitting for the style of home it is.

  • @free2drm

    oooh #!

    If only time back days

  • I always dreamed of that place when I was a little kid. I hope it doesn't still have the old TV/VCR combo.

  • y'know what guys-- buy the house and change it to ur liking lol .. and u'll even help the economy instead of leaving useless comments - that poor agent is working her ass off for a living if u didn't notice !!! spread the word and sell the house!!!!!

  • I like how he seams to glide away from here as she is talking and doesn't give a care.

  • @Kermashan1337 Everything's not always as it seems - except for people who apparently have only snide comments to contribute.

  • @YoChicago1 lol i didn't mean to make you upset ;) i just thought it was funny :D

  • @Kermashan1337 Not upset - I'm from New Jersey and I just react that way.

  • Dude, their neighbors house is sick! The one on the left.

And I hate what they did to the house. If my home were in a movie, I would never change it.

  • Is the scary stove still in the basement? lol

  • @ViperSRTnACR The scary stove is called evil furnace. The furnace is actually a non-working prop operated by two film effects crew members with large flashlights.

  • @MultiJames95 holy asperger's! were you involved in the production of the movie?

  • @nogoodbastid check imdb.com and search Home Alone. Then go to the trivia and you will see that in the Did You Know section.

  • the lady said it was updated about 15yrs ago which means they must've remodeled almost right after they bought it which is hard to believe they wouldnt leave it the same for just a few yrs

  • that house to the left looks far better from the outside

  • I liked it the way it was in the movie. it seems boring now. the way it was in the movie it felt like home

  • @mark20111000 Totally agree with you the camera tricks, the red carpet and the big family are what made the house look bigger, beautiful and more like home.

  • @jasonhylnd001 The interior house in the film was all in a studio - it was a set modeled on the real house but most of what you see in the film is the set designers take on the real house. It isn't the actual interior of the house you see in this clip that is in the movie, that's why other than the entrance hall it looks quite different.

  • Did they thrown away the original stuff, or can you buy it somewhere. Man, I want the original movie 'red carpet' from the stairs. It has much of history. Every caracter has walked/run on it =D

  • Yeah, so much is different from the movie. :(

  • looks so different form the movie. im watching the movie while im watching this. and looks alot bigger in the movie. nice house tho.

  • looks so different form the movie. im watching the movie while im watching this.

  • Did anybody order me a cheese pizza?? "Yh we did but if you want any somebody's gona have to barf it all up cause it's gone"

  • they should have kept it exactly the same as from the movie, then it would be worth 10 million!

  • they really messed up this house.. it looks like its worth about 1 million from the inside.. and about 10 million from the outside..

  • 0:33 ->> same as Home Alone trailer on 0:13 . Btw, pretty nice house
