japanese people know something about disaster,because of that is japan archipelago.
you know?
the sea has very quiet when Just before the tunami.
miyazaki anime has same situation at their disaster and many japanese people known at that situation.
maybe now,any people known something about sign at before the disaster,and even any move.
i think,its just kind of static and dynamic,but its very important in his animation.

Hayao Miyazaki is the reason i'm interested in japanese culture, anime, classical music and composing (Joe Hisaishi has done brilliant work on soundtracks of Miyazakis movies). He is such an inspirational man.

Miyazaki really knows about story, drawing, knows about giving advice. thats something you learn here even with the indirect translation and his japanese modesty :)

Miyazaki is a fool, just like George Lucas, they're great in their chosen craft but as time goes on and you hear them express their philosophies, it leaves one stunned and dumbfounded, though, in reality, I'm not too fond of Miyazaki's work but appreciated them to a certain degree. Here's a dumb quote from Mr. Miyazaki: "To my mind, animation is for children.' And then he has something to say about women in the animation industry. George? He's said a lot of dumb things.

Miyazaki is very intelligent, funny and wity. He has a big sense of humor. And the lady translator is very very nice !! Great interview.
