  • Shhhh.Stop being such a steriotypical yank.

  • Don't be silly!

  • i don't think freeway belongs on the track to be honest,LOVE md's verse tho.REAL

  • I really connected with the visuals and sounds of struggle we go through as a people in this video. Fucking beautiful song man. Almost Louvre worthy, it's that much of a masterpiece to me.

  • The song is so real. You can never hate on kanye when songs like this of his are so underrated.

  • For those of you who don't know, this is what real hip-hop is.

    Kanye was hungry.

    Freeway is legit.

    and

Mos Def is the realest MC ever.

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmhm!!

  • mos def is a poet/rapper,he may not be a gangsta rapper but he has a lucrative flow

  • mos def is where rap shoulda been headed 10 years ago. Lyrically he's life sentence ahead of the rest.

  • for those saying kanye fell off

listen to flight school kanye west and t-pain

  • fuck you

    pay me

    :D

  • two words: dope track

  • this video is hot ...wish kanye still had dat hunger... chi town stand da fuck up

  • i wish kanye made more real music, his new stuff is retarded. it has a good flow but all he does is brag like anyone cares.

  • Wow you can jus tell rhymefest wrote this for him

  • I enjoy old Kanye..more spirutual, deep , lyrical., hungry, etc.

  • Back when rap was about whats up in the world. why is kanye not still doin the real stuff anymore

  • John Legend worked on this? cool

  • 0:09?

  • mos killed it!

  • as always yo

  • wheen kanye was good...

    all his new shit suckkkksssss!!

  • do u think kanyes graduation was weak?

  • thats because we Mad him to big and now he's cocky

  • Mosssss ripd dat shyt

  • Hype song man. I live by two words,

FUCK YOU, PAY ME. Kanye killed that shit yo.

  • check the mos def + mf doom - 2 words remix that one is so fucking dope.. this is just undergrund + a toy

  • It is Mos Def's song, the OP has no idea what he's talking about. This was released under Mos' name, not Kanye....

  • It's on Kanye's album

  • i agree with eighter8er sick jacken ripped it real. hip hop is underground, pop get the radio play. 2 sides 2 every story way better than kanyes piece of shit, but i got to give it to mos, still sick jacken is the shit. psycho realm for life

  • mos smashed!

  • Mossss!!!

  • This should be Mos's song, he dominated on this.

  • fucking universal./..

  • Mos Def iz da ish..

  • freeway is a beast he killed that shit

  • This is probably Kanye's best song.

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Freeway is the truth!!!

  • check out sick jacken's version....

sick jacken- 2 sides 2 every story ....

he ripped it comparing to this

  • ??????????????

  • i love this song, though i like it beter with the mfdoom beat behing it

  • this is definetly that real deal Kanye he's going left with his shit but I guess he's just being different.

  • too bad kanye's a conceited douche now.

  • Up there with kanyes best

  • Mos Def ripped this shit

Best verse then it starts to decline

Freeway was kind of wack to me

College Dropout was the best one in my opinion

He is starting to dropout doing this singing shit.

There is no way that T Pain autotune thing can be something that comes from his heart.

    He is now a sellout.

    BK Stand up!!

  • ya kanye's part at the beginning is definetly the best

  • great song

  • This aint even that old but damn I miss the old Kanye..

  • it would have been of the chain if they had Common on this song

  • i agree i can really imagine just coming in with a sick line

  • overkill:p

  • Back in the time Kanye made the best music

  • lmao man remember all the chipmunk soul running around the radio back in the days? This beat is a musical flashback.

  • wow didnt know this had a video....this was back in the day when kanye was still tight

  • fucking rad

  • mos def killed it

  • thight

  • One of the best track on college Dropout!

  • i didn't know there was a video for this song.

    thanks for the upload.

  • Fucking great.

  • I love Kanye!! He always rep where he came from so we gon always return the love!!!

What ya know about Harold's LOL!!!

  • harold's is my shit, thats chi toiwn shit there, outta towners better learn, lol,jj's is good too,but harolds is better

  • go dropoutbear =D

  • 1 word for this song--ILL!!!!!

  • This is one of the best hiphop collabs...ever...

    Kanye = life

    Mos = life

    Free = life

  • the best lyrical artist !

  • Mos Def please stop making movies and get back into rap

  • Most RAW video AND song from kanye

  • kanye was never a hip hop artist per se. Remember he's primarly a producer. This track is his strongest hip hop joint. (Its the freakin' sheeit!)Speaking in broad terms he is categorized as hip hop, as rockafella is a hip hop label. I don't think Kanye cares for specific categorization of his music, he is a music artist.

  • Actually, Kanye has said he wants to be known as a hip-hop artist more than a producer. From what I've read about him and seen of him, he doesn't like being thought of as just a producer.

  • aight for all you cocksuckers who dont think game did a track over this beat its THE GAME-THROWIN ROCKS AT THE THRONE ,type that in and it should come up its bad as fuck

  • game aint on this ... are you talking about a remix ?

  • yeah, game did a track over this beat, it was raw as fuck , ill post it when i find it

  • coo thanks.

  • Surprised this only has 160,000 views. This isn't just a great song overall, Kanye and Mos Def's verses would have been some of their best on their own. And fuckin love lockdown gets more than this a day, what has Kanye/his fans come to?

  • listen to the album 808s and heartbreak than you'll know. all he's doing is stepping up his game. not doing the same thing over and over, not that the old kanye is bad.

  • I'm with you that it isn't just the same shit like most other rappers out today (lil wayne espescially), but it seems like he isn't just making it different, he's forgetting where he came from. He's just getting all emotional about his own life, not about poverty or blood diamonds like he used to. And then he just puts auto-tune over everything.

  • let's be real, the man lost his mom and fiance in the same year and continued to tour and make music....he had to get it out some how. With his list of tracks he has earned the right to be creative and go out side the box. I still support him because this video right here is the heart of Mr. West, you can't learn this in a class. His eminent spirit is there..that can't disappear!

  • AMEN!! I'm glad someone understands.

  • he didnt 4get bout where he came from he jus took a detour cuz he is making a hip hop album in 09 called a good ass job nd it goes wit his past albums like after graduating u get a good ass job so he didnt jus drop his old style.. nd i agree wit iwonder66 he did step his game up cuz if u can have all the respect kanye has from his other albums come out wit a pop album still make money off it nd work on a hip hop album ur a great artist

  • dave chappelle finally found this song

  • yo freeway murders this track...understand rhyme schemes and what he is saying

  • I'm seeing alot of comments about freeway on this song. The attention should be focused on mos def. not only was his verse by far the best on this song, its one of the best verses i ever heard. Just listen to the words.

  • I thought Kanye's verse was actually the hottest on this track, which is rare for his punk ass.

  • free killed shit freestyles vs writtens

  • 'dresgn' are you high? freeway was a beast on this song, he went hard, u can feel his pain and hunger

mos was amazing as always! real hip-hop!

  • freeway completely ruined this song for me. His verse just sucks. And anyone who disagrees is a goddamn liar.

  • THAT IS HIP HOP..REEEEEAL SHIT!!!!!!

  • i did not know there was a video for this

    its dope!!!1

  • yea me neither its great

  • I didn't either. I saw a performance of this on chapelle's show which was pretty cool. Check it out if you haven't already

  • k west needs to put shit like this out on the mainstream and quit being a slave to greed and capitalism. Get over yourself and listen to mos

  • kayne used to be like this, then his music turned to shit. but thank god, hes making real music again.

  • Kanye Is the only real force in hip hop right now... Come on.. maybe his head is big.... but most cant help it when your big as he is... Come on now he is up there with Dre or even past Dre when it comes to music styles he has down... Everyone loves kanyes music Everyone... so it makes him pop weather u like it or not... even if he tried to become underground it would not work

  • First off you can't compare Dre and Kanye. They're not on the same page i hip hop. Dre was a rebelious rapper, a pioneer of hip hop. Kanye is a little commercialized bitch now and sadly that's all he can be now. I agree that he can't go undeground now. He used to be good when he was underground but once you hit it big there is no turning back. As for real forces of hip hop out there: Mos Def, Immortal Technique, Atmosphere. They're not powerhouses but they stay true to the art

  • Wow what a hater... ok lets sum up dre NWA's hot, 1 hot album the chonic... Death Row days was Daz and a slew of others producers... Pac said it best " this nigga has not worked in years! and gets credit for other work " Hence why it takes for ever for a album to come out.. 2.nd Dre has had the same 90's sound and name me a cut he has done in the last 3 years that matter? Not one.... Ok kanye has produce and done more work than dre career Just the Facts homie.laaaaa la la laaaa. Hater!

  • Anybody can produce and create shit today. You just need some stupid little program like garage band and you can make shit that sounds legit. Dre produced shit that was truly original. Nobody had done what dre did. All kanye does is sample everyone else's shit anyway. Oh and by the way, if you're arguing that kanye puts out more shit and you wanna call that a "fact" it's not about quantity dude, it's about QUALITY!

  • You think it's so easy to sample records? I'd like to see you or anyone else who says all Kanye does is sample, produce the calibur of artistry Kanye does. You have to be insanely diverse in music and incredibly gifted in your craft to not only sample a song, but the right song at the right parts. Some of the most unlikely songs have been made into incredible tracks by him. Yes, Dre is an amazing producer, but he has a different style and he has sampled too. There is nothing wrong when done rite

  • You know what man? You're right. Sampling is pretty tough. I've seen tracks being sampled and it takes hella long but to measure skill on how much shit you put out is stupid. Kanye is good but his music has lost significance since he hit it big. I can't relate. He just boasts and defends himself constintly. He's lost that hunger for real music. And yes dre is badass but i'm glad he stopped lol

  • Now that is where I can sorta agree. He's not the same Kanye, but how can you stay the same when your life changes the way he has. He gone through many experiences since coming out so it will affect his music. I think he defends himself so much because he wants so bad to be taken seriously and he wants people to recognize the amount of dedication he has. When he goes in the studio, he puts 100 percent in it so I think it hurts when people don't give him his props. He's too passionate sometimes.

  • You're right, the skill required to do successful sampling is totally unrecognised by most people. It's an underrated art.

  • I agreed w/ Mos. HOT SHIT 2 the HEART!!! Love this joint and video. -Pen

  • hustlus bustas boostas

  • kanye was so weak in this one compared to mos def

  • Mos Def just completely outshines Kanye and Freeway on this...I wish he would focus more on his music than his movies...

  • Agreed.

  • dawg...not a chance. mos def had nice lyrics but kanye's delivery on this is outstanding.

  • i think mos def only outshines kanye becuz this is early kanye

buty i do agree mos def wud be an epic rapper if he focused on his music more

  • two words

    chi town

    south side

    world wide

    cuz i

    rep that

    til i

    fuck'n die

  • i love you kanye

  • theres no way u can say 50 cent even comes Close to Mos Def...especially lyrically

  • yeaaa boy

  • wait...when did mos def become one of my favorite rappers?....

    now.

  • wait? why is freeway in this?????????????????

  • cuz...

freeway wit da roc, probly herd da beat an wanted to get on

  • cos he is good u retard

  • fantastic song...I wasn't happy that freeway was on it because I don't think he's on the level of Kanye or Mos, but it's still classic. I would've put on Talib or Common instead of Free for sure.

And I wish Kanye would go back to spitting fire like this instead of his new autotuner CRAP!

  • chicago

    keep it real.

  • dont forget to give credit to the harlem boys choir. but mos def upstaged the hell out of kanye

  • all three killed tis song but i think it would of been better if common was on it

  • Kanye is sold out, he went from rappin about something real to how much shit he has cuza money. It's straight to do that once in a while, but hell Mos Def is rich too, but he still talks about something deep thru his music. I'm from Chicago and I say Kanye's sold out if that means anything, but still even tho Kanye sold out it doesn't mean I don't like some of his music heh heh. It's still hip hop...just not as real.

  • What the hell are you talking about are you sure your listening to kanye west. His last album especially had little to nothing to do about boasting how rich he is I mean I'll give you goodlife and maybe barry bonds but besides those he is still talking about real shit in the industry and normal life. Now he has gone to singing I actually like it cause it has meaning i can relate to but I do prefer him rapping.

  • i totally agree with ya...i mean flashing lights nd homecoming are really good examples of him rappin bout serious issues but ma favorite has to be bittersweet poetry; talks really sympathetically bout bein in a difficult but important relationship

  • mos made his money of movies not rap so its kinda easier for him but i agree ever since he went up against 50 he turned into a bitch with autotune shit

  • All three of them killed this song.

  • this was one of the best tracks any of these niggas have been on.

  • haha, not mos def, almost every blackstar track blows this shit off its feet

  • i wouldn't say that...there are better songs but I don't think many tracks "blow this off it's feet" this song is too solid

  • diz beat iz sick i can freestyle off diz shit right here

  • this shit really really put me in a trance like i felt the imagery with the words that was the best ppl..the best video sice a long motherfucking time...no lets me put so input to your comments..OK we all know the rules of the game when you go major and when your independent and when your an underground rapper...OK, lets flash back Kanye was at the verge of independent and..UNDERGROUND!!

  • why are all these people saying kanye's sold out? just cause his songs gone mainstream doesn'mean he's lost his skills..it just means alot of people now appreciate hip hop...history will remember kanye as one of the artists who kept hiphop alive

  • dope song mos def killed it and kanye killed it too

  • mos def is dope;]

  • why are there epic thumbs down on this blog?

  • mos def and freeway both killed it, kanye was okay, but nowadays he sold out, that may hurt a lot of his fans here, but now he lost his way, he just talking about money, girls, cars. MOS DEF THE ILLEST

  • one of kanye's best songs ...

  • kanYe used to be hard

    his new shit is garbage

  • i fuckiin love this song...

    everytime is still fuckiin amazinn

  • Mos killed it like always...im sorry but lets keep it real kanye sold out...not on this track cuz this was wen he was still real...but now?lets be real

  • true dat mos def killed it.

  • mos def killed dis shit son.

    besta believe dat. hip hop.

  • mos def is sick.

  • if you love kanye, type in "EASY16 Two Words Remix". spits truth...

  • damn, i so love this video + track

  • I love this track.

  • uhh, didn't kanye do a lollipop remix with lil wayne?...

  • i hope kanye finds his true self cuz this was his best album by far and all his albums are pretty nice.

  • LOOL in the credits it says : "No animals were hurt during the making of this film" XD

  • do you here that shit that kanye is spittin nowadays

    it is hot garbage

  • MOS duznt even look tho hes tryin hard+u can still c how talented he is......luv himxx

  • check out my go getta remix the last two verses are from this song

  • everyone on here ripped it

  • this one of his best tracks but kanye still acts like a world class asshole

  • yeah, Its his first album.

still a part of him is humble

  • yea you can tell by what hes wearing

  • I used to love this song, but now the sound of Kanye makes me cringe because of how fucking egomaniacal he is. All rappers have to be high on themselves, but charging stages at awads shows and coming off like a huge douchebag in interviews is just too much.

  • mos def killin it. that was a sik track!

  • chi town raised me crazy

so i live by two words:

    FUCK YOU PAY ME!

  • amazing track. he got that b.white drum roll and half harlem of to play over the sample.. . I love this shit

  • Best Kanye West track ever. Almost faultless!

  • gr8 track, not a kanye supporter either(Mos Def can do NO wrong!)but he brought his game up a bit ,freeway went in good, could listen2 Mos D, ALL fuxxing day,!xx

  • sick track. not a kanye fan but he turns it up in this track.

  • I love this shit.

  • real talk on this shit

  • monster track mos is fire

  • who produced the trak, i think i've heard psyco realm also use the beat in a freestyle, ill bill also. i jus hav to know who produced the trak...guessin it wud hav to be kanye rite?

  • what a siiick combin. of mad talented menxx

  • aww man this song is awesome k west da best

  • The sample is so hot on this ("and it's bloody on these streets")

    Throw your hands up.

  • Ahh, I wish Kanye was as hungry now as he was before.

  • yeah when he actually rapping about something and for something. instead of about everything hes got and how rough it is being rich famous.

  • Yeah no doubt, now it just seems he's making music to win awards instead of just to make music that he loves

  • freeway is a monster on dis track.

  • ROFL @"Two words Free Way, two letters AR turn yall Rap niggaz into two words, fast runners"

    Love Freeway's line right hea.
