As a foreigner myself, I ve met people that were nothing in their home countries and after moving here got bachelors and masters degree, under those new laws those people couldn't come here. @tekhiun If you're speaking on the latest reforms in immigration (mainly that they will grant residency only if you can show you've made a REAL effort to assimilate in to Danish society) - it's done specifically to keep Denmark as enlightened and progressive as it is.

@Joniversity Not really. They set unrealistic expectations. I am not against regulating immigration however the current laws here are extremely unfair. As a foreigner myself, I ve met people that were nothing in their home countries and after moving here got bachelors and masters degree, under those new laws those people couldn't come here. It has nothing to do with assimilation (which i think should also happen on the danes side) these laws are from the nationalist danish party.

@Joniversity well google "immigration rules in denmark" and you will find a few articles in english about the new rules.I will try to put the whole picture in a nutshell. about 10% of the pop. are foreigners. The great majority lives on the two big cities , cph and århus so most danes don't have much contact with foreigners.The nationalistic party has for years run a campaign of fear mongering about how the danish culture will disappear, and managed to be an essential party in the parlament.

The UN's flaw is that it allows nations/countries which are non-democratic and/or is void of any freedom of the press/media to partake in a UN democratic process. And especially in the case of human rights allow countries with suppressed press (which is the eyes, ears, and voice) to even partake in such democratic votes.

If Muslims "lightly" practice Islam then they are good neighbors and a friend to man. If the practice Islam more fully, they are a danger to all humanity. They will grow like a cancer within a foreign country until they demand a separate country within a country. There needs to be a discussion in the west about outlawing aspects of Islam simply because they are commanded to perform Jihad (peaceful, economic, violent etc.) until all submit to Allah and pay the jizya with willing submission.

It's been hijacked by the OIC. The vast majority of member states are not democracies, so democratic principles can never prevail. It's past time for democratic states to opt out (which will kill the UN because they provide virtually all of its funding) and to form a separate body.
