Hill's hands are too hard for him to finish around the rim, lol. Thabeet, however, shows promise. Grizzlies shouldn't have used their top pick on him only because there were better, more NBA ready players to choose from. Still, he could improve enough to be a defensive-minded version of Roy Hibbert.

God damn I love Kevin McHale coaching this team for the big men. Pointing out a fundamental part of the game that a lot of people lose track of. On the heels fo the Gasol debacle I'm actually just really happy we have Thabeet and Hill for the 4 and 5. I have a lot of faith in them.

Whats with all the negativity? Buncha cunts man. JHill missed like his first 5 but he finished strong. He's a mid-range shooter anyway hop off him. And thabeet seemed to be doing just fine, just a bit slow, that will improve the more he plays.

It can't be too hard when your hand is already at rim lvl at the release and the basket is 2-3ft away. It's like throwing a ball into a trashcan, but if he does develop a soft touch, he's a starter. Someone also needs to fix his free throw form if he's shooting around 50% and using all arms for the power, or he's getting hacked every time.

@stevelau1933 Nah it can still be hard. for a big guy like that ..he's never had full control of the ball EVER ..shorter people ..we think it would be easy if you made us 7 foot but it just doesn't translate. He doesn't have the muscle memory. I'm sure he's practicing but he needs alot of work ..in general

Watching him in general ..just his conditioning, footwork, feel for the game, confidence is all lacking. He needs confidence most of all. He'll never be an all star but he can be solid

Looks like he also needs to get into game condition because I watched the preseason opener and he was clearly out of breath after the first few minutes. He's not going to be able to keep playing at 100% if he can't get up and down the court without getting winded that fast.
