So how does this link to the 1st film?.. what happened to the pumpkin patch? who would fuck a giant monster, to create tommy? it just looks like they needed an excuse to make a shit horror film, so they used the pumpkin head monster and idea. badly done.....im gonna watch pumpkinhead 3 now :P

I always thought that the reason tommy came back to life looking like pumpkinhead that because they put pumkinheads blood in his mouth. And that's how he bacame Pumpkinhead. I know he was Pumpkinheads son but when he died he didnt look like pumpkinhead. I loved the 1st one and th 2nd one. But the rest just kinda went down hill. Well i loved the story plots but they keep changring Pumpkinhead and i didnt like that.

I don't like how they weakened Pumpkinhead, made him killable, so I'm insisting that its not pumkinhead in the most logical way possible. "Tommy" was raised from hell, thats why the monster cares that the kids hurt the old woman, Pumpkinhead wouldn't, Tommy does. Since Tommy is Pumpkinhead's chlid, he look like him, but is more human underneath the surface.

Pretty sure "pumkinhead" isn't even in this movie. The monster "tommy" is only half demon, weaker than his father. Thats why he can be killed. Pumkinhead would have 1) Killed the girl anyways. 2) killed the rest of the guys shooting him. 3) killed the sherif for getting in his way.

This movie was cut in 3 weeks for less that 1,000,000. I was a GRIP and it was a blast. Looong hours, OK pay, a shirt that says "Pumkinhead 2 Cast and Crew," and got my name in the credits. The same guys that designed some stuff for Metallica did for this movie too. You know Pumkinhead in this movie is a guy that stands almost 7' tall and the head sits on his head and is completely remote controlled.

In the first movie, when Pumpkinhead died, his body exploded in flames. The person that asked the witch to conjure him from the dead was then buried in the same grave and would have been the demon the next time it was raised. This "sequel" kind of deviated from that plotline though - the monster actually appeared to be immortal in the first movie, and the only way to kill him was to kill the guy that conjured him - the sequel kinda made a mess of the story though :(

It get's so much shit because it's ties to the first one are weak at best and it leaves a lot of the back story out. Us seeing the chief help Tommy as a kid would have set the stage for this part where he realizes Tommy is the monster. A past friendship could have been even better which would also explain more of that amount of pull on Pumpkinhead Jr there.
