Been looking for this for ages! I remember abacush doing afew dates in kenya back in the late 80's courtesy of the british council. They were probably one of the first reggae bands to tour kenya, and this number was hugely popular.
Fantastic band...I used to put 'em on at various community venues in Camden in mid 80s, and also I think they did Camden Festival International Music & Dance Week either at Round House or Shaw Theatre, and possibly a gig at the Camden Centre. They were always really lovely people to deal with, though Tense the manager used to play his cards close to his chest!
@SirDaniel1955 yeah I know the band I always remember them at Nottinghill carnival the place was heaving, but when Abacush graced the main stage everthing stopped it was mezmorizing an experience I will never forget. I suppose the manager does what managers do?
whenever my pickney nieces talked about Spice girls (Scarey was the black one???!!!) or some such bimbo girrrrrrrrrrl pwoer group, I would tell them about Abacush , pure melanine, uncut bass, 100% talent no gimmicks.
lov that song !! bip up ABACUSH !!
