The United States used to be a republic. In a true republic the common people cannot vote they have representatives that vote for them. We have something that resembles a republic in our congress and electoral college. However, because any citizen can vote, it can be argued that US is a democracy.
The US is supposed to be a republic which uses a form of democracy to create a form of representation which can be influenced by the votes of the people. promoters of democracy invariably use the idea of democracy to destabilize existing governments in order to establish a more despotic form of govt known as an Oligarchy with themselves ruling. The US is now an Oligarchy which uses the original govt as a false front for their own. The fed rsv bankers/board answer to NO authority but their own.
