For beginners you can pretty much pick any ukulele that's at least $25~50. If you're going to do this for a hobby and want something that'll last you long and also sounds terrific, say around the $500 mark (maybe less). Anything above that, you're looking to do this for real. You've really got to go to a ukulele shop and see what suits you the best. Trust me, it's worth it! The ukulele is such a fun portable instrument to play on-the-go!
