hi, i just decided to stop combing my hair for awhile and to just finger detangle after washing my hair..curious, how often do you run a comb through your hair?
@MyOdette123 Hey :) I haven't used a comb in years. I have mastered finger detangling pretty well so well that I can run a comb througha section of my hair without any breakage. Definitely took some practice, lol.

Simple yet elegant! When my hair grows I will try this style, maybe tighter twist though, one thing you didn't demonstrate is how to use the elastic head band for a more higher look, all in all thanks for the video :)

@bigteina No, I haven't always worn loose twists. I started wearing loose twists about 3 years ago but this can absolutely be done on shorter lengths.
im wearing my hair in long kinky twists and did this style as I watched the video and it actually came out really cute! I made the twists a bit more firm because my ends are curly. loved the side bang in particular. instead of pinning, i tucked the hair into some of the folds of the twist. I will bobby pin it and take a pic for the site if thats ok :) cool! next time I will try it with my loose hair.

My twists are about a half an inch in diameter. I use to wear braidouts and twistouts and haven't ruled them out but yes tangles are a major concern since my strands are super fine. I have never wore goddess braids and I absolutely looooooooooooove dreads but I prefer my strands freeform :) Your welcome and thank you for watching :D

@chariam0r Yes, but I work in a creative field where this type of look is not only accepted but appreciated. I most cases such as the corporate world and other fields, certain hairstyles like this would not fly, unfortunately :(

im wearing my hair in long kinky twists and did this style as I watched the video and it actually came out really cute! I made the twists a bit more firm because my ends are curly. loved the side bang in particular. instead of pinning, i tucked the hair into some of the folds of the twist. I will bobby pin it and take a pic for the site if thats ok :) cool! next time I will try it with my loose hair.

@UrbanBushBabes I took pics of this style when i went out to a mom event on sat nite - everyone loved it!!! then redid the style on Sun. for church -- omg I passed out so many phone numbers and cards ( i do hair as my side biz) and got lots of african goddess/queen compliments! My twists are about a half an inch in diameter. I use to wear braidouts and twistouts and haven't ruled them out but yes tangles are a major concern since my strands are super fine. I have never wore goddess braids and I absolutely looooooooooooove dreads but I prefer my strands freeform :) Your welcome and thank you for watching :D
