  • that gtr u bet at blossy was apparntly 750 horse lol gc

  • seen u at the drags this sunday man u bet that gtr lol good shit

  • Spose u found out bout the 30det havin harmonic issues over 7500rpm

  • I love your car.Its very nice and quick.

  • what are you spinning the engine up to?

  • @MrSlowSkyline hi man im only running her up to 7800rpm at this stage as at that time it only had a 3inch exhaust and std throttle body. I have now upped their size and is breathing much better at higher rpm

  • wtf 500rwhp? im building an rb30det atm for my r32- spool rods mahle pistons gt3540 1.06 etc etc pretty sure ur engine wouldnt push more than 400atw if it is, u must have fkn big turbo n fuel system. also living on borrowed time

  • @CHARrrrrrrrr you realy don't now a great amount about the rb30 you don't need rods and pistons if running under 650-700 rwhp and as long as you don't get some drop kick to tune ya car and have a good oiling system it will be reliable. way to many people get sucked into thinking they need new pistons,rods ect when they don't need them. now if i were doing long endurance racing I would look at doing rods and pistions other wise they are not needed. I now a meny running 700 with no problems

  • @suparolla 700rwhp stock piston/rodded track cars, wtf? The rods usually throw a leg out of bed 300-350rwkw without being shot peened/stress relieved and the standard pistons crack ringlands pretty easy - I've had 3 stock pistons shit it at 300rwkw over separate occasions and the tune was rich, timing standard.

  • @crayman31 lots of factors come into it, fuel,turbo, who built the motor! amount of boost and over here in nz we are getting a lot more power out of a std motor than you auzys as we have better fuel and cooler air tempatures and yes iv been over thier talking to many experanced tuner and they also commented a nz tuners getting much more power out of the std block. detantion will kill any motor.std ignition timing theirs ya problem any good tuned motor has had ignition changed

  • @suparolla I still find it extremely hard to beleive, I mean to make 700rwhp the cylinder pressures are going to be very high, standard cast pistons are simply not up to the job no matter what fuel or timing you're running. That's like saying the standard diff in a KE70 corolla can take 500rwhp if you put good oil in it..

  • @crayman31 good point but it is happaning over here some seem to do it and some have failed my 500whp is only running 15 psi but i keep my rev limited to around 7200rpm so its not risking things but as i build all my own motors and can get good parts for good prices i like to see how much power I can get the down side i have very limited funds like most of us. im still running a std rb26 head gasket and rb20 head bolts I havent broken any thing yet. these motor are very good as with the 2jz

  • @suparolla I've also heard good things about the standard head gaskets, and keeping the revs down should save it, especially the oil pump gear. I'm building a 30det at the mo (also short on funds), but going H-beam rods and forged pistons just to be a safety boy. I wish I had a 26 head, but I scored a 25de head from an R32 that'll bolt straight on. I'll see what I can make from mine with the 3582r on it with a .82 T4 housing

  • @crayman31 they never bolt straight on champ.. believe me after 3year build 334kw atw on 19.2psi and $20,000 reciepts later, this build is not for the faint hearted

  • @supersayonbrad The 25de head from a 32 does, same gasket and all (tensioner spots too) - it's got the smaller ports but same size valves as the 33 heads (turbo and NA). I've got my machining work quote for $2k, I've spent $1400 on pistons and rods, $800 for the 35R, needing cams and I'll be ridiculous and get studs all round (even for the cam caps) Hopefully going for around $7k running and tuned including all the small shit (flanges, gaskets, sealant, belts), being a qualified tech. helps!

  • @crayman31 ahhhh ? im pretty sure the 32 came with a rb20 and 26 for the gtr

  • @UnBoxMeNow A small number of RB25de non-VCT engines are also found in R32's, google is your friend

  • @crayman31 never knew that ay , :/

  • @UnBoxMeNow Yeah man, strange but true! They share the same sensors as a Silvertop RB20 and look almost identical, apart from the bore increase :)

  • @CHARrrrrrrrr and you dont need big boost to run good hp from the rb30 and they are hardly working compared to the rb25 and rb20. RIPS has proven their rb30 motors handle good hp and reliable to. Iv got frends with dyno proven 400rwhp skylines and power wise mine is way faster then theirs as the dyno said 502rwhp.

  • @suparolla good stuff, tuners i went to all said the rods wont hold past 400rwhp should hopefully have mine done next month or 2 see what power she puts down

  • @CHARrrrrrrrr if you are doing the rods and pistons you should have no worrys about running 800 odd hp from the block. I have another mate with one running 700 whp and using it for track and drag the only issue he had was an oil surge caused by a poor sump and pick up causing him to run a big end. Iv had mine built for about 3 years now with no issues Iv dune all my own work on the car apart from my last tune as I don't have my own dyno. if you have a good set up you will lay some good hp.

  • The front wheels have a different design of the rear wheels! This interferes with the development speed of the car?

  • @jobatribe wtf what drugs are you on? its 2wd not 4wd. so what you are saying is all the drag cars ,top fuel,rails ect are all running incorrect tyre sizes really!! and if you think all skylines are 4wd no they are not.

    gte=2wd

    gts=2wd

    gtst=2wd

    gtst4=4wd

    gtr=4wd and so on

  • @jobatribe yea lets just chuck a set of hoosiers on the front just for shits and giggles? douche bag. think before you comment

  • @dalev100

    First: I did not comment, I asked a question.

    Second: The response of suparolla already satisfied me. So discard your opinion!

  • @jobatribe suck it

  • @jobatribe WTF is this kid on???

  • @jobatribe in west auckland there called skidiez mate

  • Oh it's a no wonder why you hate Holden so much.

  • who said anything about hateing holden or ford? I would happly own both of them as both can make some very nice cars. and are starting to use good motors to. not some old push rod single cam lump.

  • Well my fault. I just assumed you didn't like them from the message you left on the other vid. BTW, its good to see you on a track and not on the main st like my neighbours.

  • no worrys man.

  • sheepyg is all shit dont listen to him he dosent know what he is talking about.

    I have a rb25det running 14psi and making more power than others running over 20psi its all about the combination of your individual set up. There are plenty of people that dont beleive in my figures untill i show them my dyno pac data sheets.

    Good going man im intrested in knowing how much the slicks effected your times.

    Im running high 12s on street tyres

    Rbs are best in my opinion.

  • hi man. if you have a few hundred get some drag tyres they are great. I got down to a 12.9 at 117mph on street tyres with my old rb20det set up down in invercargill. the track im running at on this vid is very slippery and some of the rails are still spinning over the finish line.

    cheers for a good comment

  • sick

  • ok im not going to keep replying to your comments. yes mybe its not running that power but im going by what the dyno has read i have been in lots of cars and its still least 450rwhp and to correct you rips would be the best in the world for building rb30det's. yes they do a very good job over their. now iv been building cars for a very long time and have been drag racing for that time as well. and the r33 rb25de vt head don't need to be worked as they flow good for over 700rwhp with ease.

  • what hav you done to yours fairly standard right? no head work? and 15psi isnt that much. those ausi tuners are the best mate and they all use dyno dynamics dynos wich are super acurate. on 15psi and a good tune id say it wud b close to 300kw not 370kw. u see standard rb20s making like 220kw at torque performance with standard injectors wich are only good for 170-180kw.

  • You are so full of shit

    Do some research on what others are doing. I now live in australia and have seen first hand that they are still behind when it comes to rbs

    Go back to your crappy holden or ford you dick.

  • oooh torque performance, that makes sense,their dyno reads so high, go on skylines australia an look under forced induction then rb30 dyno graphs and ull see sum genuine dyno figures

  • have looked at the dyno graphs and none of those cars are running my set up. most comes down to the tune as some tuners use low timing and lots of boost and some use low boost and high ignition liming. the head also matters as the non vvt head has a lot lower flow. their are so meny differnt factors that come it to it when building a motor to create power at differnt levels.

  • 500rwhp on 15psi?

  • yes 374.5 kw / 502hp at 15.1 psi and 287.1kw / 388hp at 8.7psi on a torque performance dynamometer. rb30det's don't need a lot of boost with a good sized turbo to make good power at low boost levels

  • yep I just plumed it in to the turbo oil return

  • hay bro what did you use for the vvt oil return?just the same oil turbo return?

  • Haha, awesome stuff mate. SSE represent. ;)

  • hi im running a cheap t70 and yes im running vct. only running 15.1 psi as I need heavier valve springs.

  • Hey man, nice job at the drags. Just wondering what turbo you running and if your running vct?
