The job market sucks indeed, I've been looking for a job since I got laid off in September, and in the mean time getting my own business up and running, neither one has paid off so far but it looks like I'm gonna have better luck with my own thing, which is kind of a weird sign of an economic suck-fest.

@Chickenooble I think one shouldn't be paid if he didn't work or earn his keep. However, I also do think one should work smarter. The job offered by Himfam1 is far and pays a minimum wage. I can get the same thing here in my neighborhood. Would relocate to a different city, throw away your university degree, and miss out on future job opportunities, just to work a minimum wage job like McDonald's? The opportunity cost is so high and it's not worth it.

As much as I'd like to see you come to CA. I really don't think you could pick a worse place to find a job. There is just nothing here. Right now unemployment here is holding steady at 12.5%. Thats almost twice as high as Hawaii. You should have a lot better luck looking for a job in another state, with lower unemployment. And the cost of living will be way less then CA too. So even if you make less money it will still be better for you.
