What would you recomend that is hd that would be good for clip editting and with good sound but in a range of 250 or lower? or maybe has some sort of port for a better mic? If something like this even exists

i find that a lot of the canons have a lot of pro features, like a shoe mount, with imputs for mic and headphones. also they have a lot of manual settings.

There is a tripod and many microphones, but that defeats the purpose of testing the flip camcorder on its own. I do think there could have been less words, and this could have been uploaded in HD, but....

agreed agreed. I tried to get Grant to do that but....??? Grant has his own account now ;-) We love Grant but that is the biggest problem with the video. Only problem with YouTube is that you cant replace the file or I would. Of course, I understand why they might now allow that.

Honestly, for the price, it is hard to beat. If you are willing to spend more, I would recommend other solutions but this is pretty nice for under $200..

I am looking for something around that size, with night vision, and capabilities...

BUT:

with image stabilization, and expandable card slot maybe 16gb micro sd card for extra video, to put in my front pouch with a hold cut out for video for my upcoming deployment to Iraq...got any suggestions for something like the UltraHD but with those extras? v
