Hey People, stop arguing on a Joey Tribute page. Show some respect :) Joey kicked ass, the guy was a legend. I recall the days in the playground when, indeed, we did go berserk after Joey was on Blue Peter. But although we started by laughing at Joey Deacon, it slowly turned into a kinda respect for the guy. By the end we were laughing WITH him, not at him. RIP Joey Deacon, u were the greatest.
@NLSLtd Fair enough. But come on - laughing at elderly disabled people? How is that in any way acceptable behaviour? You might say "I've got a right to laugh at whatever I want", which would be fair enough - but isn't there a tiny wee shred of guilt somewhere in the back of your mind there? @danmcdaid im assuming you werent arround when this first came top light .... things werent so pc then .... and believe u me ... this man was infamous overnight it was unbelieveable how quickly his name was spread around the country everyone knew who he was........... rightly or wrongly what occured raised awareness and did more for what was the called " the spastics society" ( yes a registered charity) than any planned event or occasion could ever of done ......
