@extremelybusy123 ur comment made me think about something. I used to live in California, then I moved to Missouri And I hate it here. Thank you for reminding me of home, and how much I hate this place. The end.
Those verses, vocally, are so hard to sing. Super in-the-cute vibe and he fuckin nailed it. I'm not a huge fan of this band, but fuck, they're incredible.
@88088088088 Looks like someone needs to their "I'm-miserable-and-need-to-project-my-self-hate-on-the-internet" diaper changed. You're probably fat, white, and live in middle america. But that's fine. Kisses.
I always say that the closest thing I can say about My Morning Jacket's sound is if Pink Floyd were a Southern Rock band. They're so flippin' unique though.
@grapeape1969 That's what got me interested in them, Pink Floyd is my favourite band and it's nice to see that other people are following in their steps.
@grapeape1969 yeah, but they branch out to pretty much all sorts of other styles. it's actually interesting how they can pull off so many varieties of different sounds :)
You're thanking Seth MacFarlane for introducing you to a band that's been around for over a decade? If you're thanking anybody it should be Jim James and the rest of MMJ for all the amazing music they've made over the years.
@TheRedBaron246 or he can thank seth mcfarlane for introducing him to the amazing music that mmj has been making all these years, considering he may have not heard it otherwise.
@TheRedBaron246 Yea man, for real like, the whole I was listening to them before they were well known is so old. The point is, we're all here enjoying it NOW, and that's all that matters.
I can only describe this song as 8 minutes of sex for your ears. I remember I first heard them on SNL (believe it or not) about 3 or 4 years and felt just like Stan from American Dad. I was like "who is this angel singing". LOlz
I can see it By the way you smile I'm smilin' too I see myself in you i am with thee When I am wired (?) mm alone I'm alone i dont even know why oh this feeling is wonderful don't you ever turn it off ahh this feeling is wonderful don't you ever turn it off
@phillybob233 Omnichord! thats it! I remember playing with one that my mom owned in the mid 80's and thinking "What a retarded instrument" Never thought I'd actually see a modern band using one epically lol
I've seen ALOT of live shows in my day and I've seen MMJ I think 5? times... I gotta say they are one of the most CONSISTANTLY GREAT bands I've ever seen. They sound AS good if not better live then they do in the studio. I...I just ...wow, they are just SO AMAZING. I'm amazed : D
@dirtbikemikebike simple, thay have NO SOULS!!!!! Or their brains are shriveled from listening to too much "modern popular music", take you pick of talentless wonders, there are ALOT to choose from. Now bands like MMJ... those are hard to come by and you won't see them on MTV (not that you see ANY music on MTV nowdays, but you see what I mean eh ; )
SO fucking sick of seeing American Dad comments on MMJ videos. They're an amazing band and if it took American Dad to make all of you realize that then you all must have something wrong with you.
@Sara10393 when you live somewhere they are not on sale or covered by any media in any way its hard to find out about good bands from overseas all that gets promoted from the us is pop shit and Seth Macfarline did the world a favor when he used them on the show just that few clips of their songs and I knew they were good if American dad plugged some pop singer I wouldn't give a crap. It is upsetting it took this long to hear of them and not from charts but a show where you look for a laugh
@trippyhippy12 Amen...it's not OUR fault all of our radio stations in the U.S. are owned by 1 F***in company, and only play crap. I'm just happy to have been introduced to them at all, they give me faith that REAL music and musicians still exist.
I feel if this would have been about ten minutes longer, with just transitioning solos, it could have been the Echoes of modern day...with that said, it's still the closest piece music we got
@TheHiphoppopotamus Humans can do more than you think. For bad or, in this case, for good. Remember "I am Legend" movie. I can think about lots of ppl who woul do that same thing. But, now look at "Inglorious Bastards", lots and lots of ppl would do like that. Then you can think, "yeah, humans can do more than I thought." Thanks for your comment.
These guys are absolutely amazing, on CD and live. I just saw them for their hometown show here in Louisville, and it was an amazing concert. If you ever have the chance to see these guys live, then DO IT. They have quickly become one of my favorite bands.

imo this would be their greatest song, just the fact that its almost 10 effing minutes long, its never boring or uninteresting for even a sec.
Always feels like its a standard-long song, even though its more than the double, because of genious musicianship.
