Jesus was not rich, He was a poor carpenter. to follow jesus we must follow his example. In 2 Cor.8:9 Paul states of Jesus " being rich , yet for your sakes he became poor, so that through his poverty you might become rich" (this is spiritual riches). In the only place where it might give a hint of wealth it says he became poor.
we are sons and daughters of God we are no longer slaves to sin we are free, yes because we are children of God he was saying we are Gods kids, todd the bible says to get understanding
Another prosperity preacher who teaches another non-Biblical gospel. Beware my Christian friends.
The Bible says:
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we(apostles), or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be ACCURSED.
we are children of GOD if we accept him as lord and savior.the bible says give and it shall be given you ,pressed down shakin together shall man give unto your bossom .for what ever measure you give will be givin back to you. Some 30 some 60 and some 100 fold.GOD loves the cheerful giver who heart is in his giving
It's sad that these people, like Paula White, Benny Hinn and others take advantage of the lost with this false doctrine. Some loose money, some will loose thier soul. Jesus warned us. That is why studying the Word is so important.
The last statement he made was the reason why Jesus died for us. I don't agree with there allegorical way of teaching in this clip but I will say that if we walk after Gods statutes and in accordance to his word he will bless us mostly for the purpose of being a blessing but also for our well being.
I will say his last statement is the reason why Jesus died. I don't agree with there allegorical way teaching in this clip. But I will say when we walk after his statutes and in accordance to his word God will bless us, mostly for the purpose of being a blessing but also for our well being.
Thanks for standing for TRUTH, Todd. The sad thing here is all the people who listen and unwittingly buy into this bilge. They end up purchasing this poison and vindicating Huch and White in thier position that Christians should be fabulously wealthy. The only ones getting wealthy, though, are the ones promoting this false doctrine. Their "abundant" lifestyle is secured not by the "faith" they so glibly preach, but through the sacrificial offerings of desperately needy people. Doubly shameful.
Listening to this more, it sounds as though they are being discriminative towards poor people. I know plenty of people in the New Testament whom the Pharisees rejected for being poor but Jesus accepted. As a matter of fact, this one just one of the things that angered them because Jesus was not a respecter of person's, he took the lame, the sick, the deaf, the weak, and the poor. This sounds like a hate crime towards poverty.
Having lived through poverty and many years of severe chronic illness, I have experienced it first hand in the "Christian" churches. It's sickening, and it's NOT Christ-like.
I can't believe that man said, "Jesus is NOT the only begotten son of God." For Christ sake, John 3:16 says exactly "...that he gave his ONLY begotten Son..." and this is arguably the most popular verse in the whole Bible! Not to mention all other passages that use the same phrase such as John 1:14, 18, John 3:18, etc. These people are completely clueless. Them claiming to be Christians is defamation.
While we should be aware of these false doctrines, our best weapon is prayer...
While in the natural I want to expose these lies just as much as many of you, but in the Holy Spirit I am learning that it is better to simply pray for these "teachers".
Not for bad things.... but for their eyes to be opened & for God to accomplish His will in this.
These false teachers have been prophesied to come in these latter days... Ya know God has a purpose in it otherwise it would not happen!
I think that we will life "velumptuously" in the world to come were there will be no more pain and suffering as it was in the garden of eden before man fell. The desires of our heart will be met there and they are not of things on this earth where moth and rust corrupt and thieves break in and steal but we lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven and this type of currency is shunned in this world but will pay great dividends in the one to come.
This all sounds nice but it is from a worldly point of view therefore it cannot standup to basic Christain truths. I would like to hear Paula back the things she says with more than one verse of scripture because her view is completely distorted.
Pray for them. Hell is not a wonderful place. I hope they repent. Think about how many people might be going to hell because of what they teach. This is money worship. not the Gospel.
The prosperity gospel's ridiculous on so many levels. Jesus said that it is difficult for a rich man to enter heaven, yet He all wants us to be rich. He said to store up our treasures in heaven rather than earth, but apparently He changed His mind. Also it hasn't occurred to these people that the apostles weren't rich, they were the opposite in fact. Apparently they thought risking their lives for the gospel was more important than your worldly theology.
Gotta give credit where it is due - those guys hit the nail on the head and through the tree, y'all! Word-of-faith theology is a cancer that needs to be burned out!
Mankind adopted in Christ (Rom 8:15, 8:23, 9:4, Gal 4:5 and Eph 1:5
Christ is the unique, eternally begotten Son, and we're ADOPTED in Him. If this money-grubber knew Him, he'd stop pushing a trap like wealth on people, and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, that they might live and not perish with their money. Don't fear poverty, fear false teaching.
Poverty is a curse? No Sir, riches in this world is a curse and snare! He counts the blood of Jesus an appetizer, and his money meat and bread. "They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity." Eze 7:19
I haven't watched television in years, so I don't know who this guy or Paula White are, but I can't believe what I just heard! I fear for their souls. This brought tears to my eyes to think of all that the Father still endures from His creation. Holy God, please forgive us.

Money and wealth are, usually, THORNS AND THISTLES.
You need to understand what THORNS AND THISTLES are before you can avoid them.
They are works derived from CULTURE and the things not founded upon the rock that is JESUS.
Preaching the true word of God will, in nearly all instances, make you money.

Well, while I agree that we should pray for these people, exposing them is what Paul the Apostle commanded us to do.
"Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them."
(Eph. 5:11)

All one has to do is study God's Word and this very easily stands out as foolishness.
This is just like the devil works. He uses an ounce of truth and corrupts it with untruths; turns it to poison causing death.
People like these shouldn't surprise anyone, Scripture tells us there'll be plenty.
The end result is that they fool the unstudied, rob them of their money and take them to a fiery Hell with them when they're done. It's very sad.

"God wants his children living voluptuously"??
Oxford Dictionary meaning of
voluptuous...."tending to ,occupied with or derived from sensual pleasure"
oxfordencyclopedic 3 years ago
I thought that was odd too.
My lexicon says "Eden" simply means "pleasure"
TheotherPrometheus 3 years ago
Strong's Dictionary has at least 3 definitions for Eden:
- pleasure: - delicate, delight, pleasure.
- Eden, the region of Adam's home:
- house of pleasure; (From Beth-eden)
