Me too, every week actually, my job requires me to be around these kinds of cars on a regular basis. And I think Mercedes uses lesser quality materials. They used to be top notch, but now they're just a name. Aston Martin has always maintained a very high standard. Mercedes on the other hand has started using cheaper materials and they've become less reliable. I also think Astons just look better, they have a lower grandpa factor than Mercedes.

@corvetteguy1980 In straight lines, perhaps, but as soon as you reach a corner the Corvette leaves the road quite quickly while the Aston kisses the apex beautifully... And even then, I'm not so sure about the straight line speed. If i'm not mistaken, the Corvette C3 1980 had something like 180-230 hp for 3520 lb? Whereas the Vantage has at least 380 hp for 3413 lb... Power to weight ratio makes the Vantage look better (love the Corvette though, beautiful car!)

@corvetteguy1980 I don't know which engine it has, but there is a choice of three: 4.3L V8, 4.7L V8 or 6.0L V12. It's probably the 4.3L.

Most people don't realize how affordable this car is if you know how to live within your means and save a little. Car only starts at $118k. Get one used and you can probably find them well below the $100k mark.

Would you rather live in a super nice home, or a decent home & have a super nice car? I would have more fun with the latter. :D
