Saw it, thought it was good, but some things bothered me. It's interesting and with superb acting, but it's not very cohesive (I know, non-linear timeline, but to me some scenes were just plain unnecessary, the ending was awkward, and I felt I didn't know the characters).

Wrong, Shawshank is THE best of all time, hands down, end of discussion, no fucking question. This movie has some artistic ambiguity and quirky comedic situations, but Shawshank is *literally* perfect.

Great movie with one of the best dialogues I've seen in a film. The topics, that actors talk about seem small, but they make a pretty decent point out of every conversation :3

Also the directing is great, all the stories from everyones lives interract with each other well.

I've seen Citizen Kane, Casablanca, The Godfather, Raging Bull, and so on, but I still think this is the greatest film ever because there are several attributes that go into making a great film and QT figured out what those attributes were and put them all into one film and pulled it off with such sincerity, we never questioned it.

As crime films goes, Pulp Fiction is basically the' 90's equivalent of 'The Godfather.' Both films illuminate the inner workings of those that do crime - The Godfather gives light into the lives of organised crime families of the '50s and Pulp Fiction gives light into the lives of the petty criminals and hitmen of the '90s.
