  • Really smooth and nice! My regards ;)

  • How long have you been playing?

  • Nice tone and good job. Never give up and keep practicing.

  • AMAZING good job bro

  • Great job! You have a future in music, I'm sure!

  • Wow...you are terrific. Great performance. Great guitar playing. Thank you.

  • Heey !!!

    Where did get the tabs??

  • Great 15 boy!

    You are Superman!

I like your play!! so much

But, So sad, 23 people have not ears and No heart.

  • Nice playing and it's good to see a young guy playing a classic song.

I learned how to play off that song and others by the British blues players.

I'm 60 now and still have my '69 Gibson SG and play it every day.

    Ya gotta keep goin'.

  • Awesome to see kids this age playing awesome music, most teens at that age are listening to you know what.

  • Killer dude!

  • Dude, if you made this when you were 15, would love to hear your playing now - wow! Good work!

  • Dude. Somewhere a band badly wants you to join.

  • Really, really fantastic! The only way to improve on this would be to play it on an American Standard Stratocaster with a maple fretboard.

  • dude right on bro. wish i knew how to play this :)

  • this kid is the man

  • You seem to have no problem at all with the LP neck heel. Clapton played this on a 335 which is a lot easier because the heel is two frets further up. Did it take you a while to get comfortable with the neck heel? Or am I just a big sissy?

  • Your are so great. No one plays the true classic music and that's where it all started. Please do not stop people try for a life time and can not play like this.

Don't stop. The world need you.

  • Good job! Finally someone who can give the correct feeling to this masterpiece! Keep on playing... you're doing well!

  • dude this is awesome mad props. where did you learn this?

  • Nice. You should go to a website called guitarbackingtrack com, they have a backing track for this song with vocals that is pretty damn good and you could play it by yourself without having to play right with Clapton's guitar like that.

  • guitarnlax36, what gauge strings did you use for this song? Your vibrato is very good, I was wondering if you're using 9s, 10s or what.

  • @gfish66 I use 10's. These are ernie ball reg slinkys the green pack. I dont think ive used anything else haha and thanks!

  • @guitarnlax36 you should do more covers.

  • @guitarnlax36 Try the heavier Ernie Ball's. they are made for detuning, but if you keep it at standard and play blues, it sounds fuller.

  • sweet sweet ass guitar but it missing a strap. only stiffs and lazy fuckers play sittin down. very good though

  • @MrGergen u callin bb king a lazy fucker and practically all other old blues players?

  • @MrGergen

calm down buddy. bb kings a senior citizen so he has the right to sit down and old blues players in the 40s and 50 were playin acoustic guitars or just didnt have a strap cuz they were used to sittin down. im just sayin when you stand up you use alot better muscles in your pickin hand and to me gives you more soul

  • @MrGergen I could just as easily say that only maniacs and posers play standing up. Playing standing allows for a better overall stance, sitting down allows for more control and comfort. It's personal preference, not a set rule that apparently you've got some kind of god-given right to enforce.

  • @Vanguard448

it is personal preference but im just stating my opinion and trying to give u a hard time

  • @Vanguard448

it is personal preference but im just stating my opinion and trying to give u a hard time love your set up though

  • @MrGergen Well I'm not the video author so I think that you're talking to the wrong person there.

  • Yep,the best copy Ive seen of this song,Im sure you will learn how to improvise the solos and give yourself more choice.

  • cool!

  • awesome job kid!!

  • Pretty much good stuff, but there is the backing track-the original record? So even if u didn't play a note it would sound pretty good - if u see what I mean

  • the best cover I have seen yet on the tube. bravo sir

  • hell of a job

  • Fantastic! Excellent cover, great playing , great sounding Les Paul R8!

  • You're doing great, buddy. For a kid, it's awesome. Keep doing the good job.

  • good but you stayed in that scale wayyy too long its was all A pentatonic on the second octave. you can also solo in D which is the relative minor scale. Its breaks up the solo a lot nicer and gets rid of repitiveness

  • @A7X514 i stayed in that scale because thats where the solos are played haha

  • @guitarnlax36 you can play it in more than just that 17th fret "box"

  • @A7X514 yeah you can but i think clapton stayed there for the second solo so i did too.

  • @guitarnlax36 Don't listen to him and keep doing what your doing. Doesn't haven't to be complicated to be good music.

  • @sd5775 thanks man its cool though haha criticism is definitley welcome i know its not perfect or anything

  • @guitarnlax36 dont know y pplz is sayin you stayed in the box 2 long the solo was almost flawless.good jobbtw loved every second.

  • @skat4evr9 thanks dude you skate?

  • @guitarnlax36 used to but got tired of gettin hurt wen i fell lolol

  • @guitarnlax36 I agree but damn that was good, way better than me and i'm 35! Don't listen to the critics. Music doesn't have to be difficult to sound good! Thats the problem with today's music, so overthinked and produced.

  • @guitarnlax36 DUDE that WAS NEARLY perfect. awsome. that song is just soo fuckin chunky anyway with catchy riffs. but man, you young as hell too, this was dope! now i'd like to see you rip jimi's "manic depression" :P

  • @mrchitown29 thanks! I know that one need to get a camera though! lol

  • @guitarnlax36 Doesn't matter where its played as long as it sound good right? Why over complicate things? Look at Angus's aproach, his hands weren't big enough to shred the fret board so he climbed up the fret board in the boxes and is considered one of the top 100 guitar players of all time.

  • @A7X514

    since when is D the relative minor of A ? it's F#.

  • @shoekstra1419 my bad r right but u can still solo in D

  • well done , can you do that on yr own?

  • 20 ppl are fuckin dicks

  • you need more palm mute

  • your tone makes me jizz

  • holy S***.......you're a natural talent

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that was awesome man. sounds exactly like it. i'm learning crossroads too. i got the intro and verses down, but the solos look pretty tough to tackle. how did u learn solo? did u find a good tab? please reply back. thanks!

  • Holy shit dude O_O

  • man this was amazing. great tone and great technique. 5 stars all the way bro

  • how long have you been playing the guitar? how long did you studied for this masterpiece?

    fucking good!

  • @HomerGlop Ive been playing for 6 years now. Um I dont really know. I always have played the song but never really learned it seriously until like a month before this vid. Thanks

  • Damn good job sir. Damn good job...

  • Yea he kinda does lmfaooo

  • F***in Amazing! Great Job!

  • my head just exploded

  • Wow...unbelievable, that was perfect. I've been playing for about 2 years and a bit, and I'm trying to learn this, wow though, that was so good! How long have you been playing?

  • Dude, Unbelievable!!! I'm 60 years old, have had my fender for 40 years and I wish I could play 1/10 as good as you.

From about 18 years old, all I did was goof around and never really learned. Your video has given me hope! If you are ever in the Philadelphia area, give me a call and I'll take you out to dinner. That's not much but it's the best I can do. I only get 500 characters so I must edit.

  • ahh sooo good : ]

  • what? what?

    am i acutally hearing this?

dude honestly im like the same age as you and i havent been playing as long only about 2 and a half years but. JESUS CHRIST U R AMAZING!!!!! this is a serious question. how are u sooo good?? im ready to quit guitar because i suck so much compared to u

  • dude all it takes is practice. Actually, not practice just play. Jam, have fun. I never really practice I always just try to play to things and learn songs that has helped me a lot. Watch videos, look at how the greats play and try to copy them but not to the point were its not natural for you. Also, dont quit man everybody starts somewhere i was bad when i first started but if you put in some time and effort you will get better. Thanks

  • thank u man! i mean im not TERRIBLE but certainly not as good as you lol

  • More please. Post a video of Cream Badge Cover.

  • This is just priceless! How old are you and how long have you been playing?

  • Im 16 been playing for about 6 years now

  • excellent point of refrence!

    fantastic m8!

    ;]

  • nice mate thts pretty awsome :D

  • great

  • WOW!! WOW!!!!

  • Awesome, good stuff man.

  • Your playing is pureclass mate!!

How long did it take you to get this one together??

  • YOU'RE FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!

  • What I find particularly impressive about this video is the dexterity which you exhibit in the second solo, especially given that you're playing on an R8, which, if my memory serves me right, has a particularly thick neck on an already-cumbersome Les Paul upper register. Do you have any tips for play so fluidly in the upper registers of a Les Paul?

  • hm um yeah it is a R8. Idk how to explain it but i put my hand in a position so that only my fingers have enough room to move so my hand doesnt.

  • Kid, not only do you sound great but you look like Clapton when he was a teenager.

That was about the best copy I`ve heard from anyone ever. I`ve been playing longer than you`ve been alive and I can`t play that well. Great job.

  • nicely done

  • Comment removed

  • I keep coming back to this vid. I think what's most impressive about your playing is how professional and smooth your vibrato is. There's lots of videos of kids with fast fingers on youtube, but I've never seen somebody your age who has such nice vibrato technique.. It really sings, especially on the second part of the first solo man. really dirty

  • thanks thats really nice to hear

  • I gotta stop watching kids play on the internet... otherwise my Les Paul is gonna end getting the townshend treatment in fit of frustration! That's a compliment kid.

  • hahaha thanks

  • Very nice. I worked on this song for more than a month, so I know what a commitment it is. You have outstanding tone! Makes me wish I hadn't sold my Les Paul.

  • great job man.. awesome..

  • awesome job. i can tell you really love the music.

  • very awesome, how long have you been playing?

  • thanks um i think its six years now

  • phenomenal!

  • awesome job man!

  • nice man

  • dude!!! nice!!!. Love the way you phrase everything you play

  • good stuff, better than me, bastard.

  • very nice !! very stadge !! very clapton !! very very good RIFF man !!!

  • OMG Same setup lo, its great isn't it??

  • haha really? Yeah i love it

  • great job men you're asome

  • wow dude. that was amazing. how long did this take you? its pretty much perfect. how did you learn the whole song? ear? tabs?

  • thanks dude. It was pretty much just a combination of tabs and ear. Mostly just from listening to it though and figuring it out. It took me like a few weeks of really concentrating on it to get it down like this. Now I have it better because i fixed some mistakes in the second and first solo but overall to get it to this it took me like 2 or 3 weeks of practicing it everyday.

  • it was incredible

  • Awesome cover. Keep rocking dude!!!

  • Good Cover , But it could be better with less distortion !

  • DAMN!

    You RIP!!!

    You gotta nice bluesy feel.

    Good stuff!

  • Got the Blues boy !

  • Hey Buddy - EXCELLENT job! Nice to see a young person listening to the best guitarists instead of these current kids who can't play a lick. You have great feel. I did a Cream tribute, Wheels of Fire - we did about 10 shows - check it out - Crossroads is up on YouTube. I don't do exact Clapton solos - I have to put some of my own feel into it. Remember, Clapton never played the same solo twice.

  • It's rare to see someone who looks kind of my age who listens to Cream. They've done some great stuff. I even think they've influenced Led Zeppelin.

  • yeah my dad bought me the greatest hits album and showed me crossroads heard it and it made me want to play creams my all time favorite.

  • Thanks man :D

  • How hard does this song get? I can play the fast introduction riff okay before the song goes bluesy. Do you reckon if I'm capable of that then I actually stand a cat-in-hell's chance of being able to play it?

  • yeah you can definatly play it;. The first solo is a bit easier then the second so try to learn that one first and just take it slow break down each riff try to get them similiar or perfect and before you know you will have it all down.

  • nice vibrato on the upper frets in the second solo. not always accurate, but I shouldn't complain, my own version is not always correct.

  • thanks yeah i know i screwed up a bit in that solo

  • lol well heres the thing, im a guitarist of about 10 months self taugh, im actually quite talented for my period time of play, i havnt uploaded any recent vids but im basing my verson off the john mayer and clapton version cuz mayer is my biggest influence

  • oh i see thats awesome dude. I am self taught too i think teaching yourself how to play guitar is better then getting lessons because you can dictate what you want to do next instead of your teacher.

  • great job though, im learnign this as well, most of the solos im gunna improvise but im using this as a guide to help me so great job
