Wow you really don't have a clue about the keyboards. Go keyboard also offers T9 and easy switching between. Swift does a lot more than you state. Swype offers a lot more.

My HTC EVO3D came with Swype on the IME keyboard, you just have to enable it in the touch input settings.

I used the new thumb split keyboard on an ipad today, it's wayyyy too hard to use!

I don't think anyone finds 8pen efficient, but I do think it becomes easier to type without looking at your phone (once you learn where all the letters are) which is very useful for texting when you shouldn't be, like in class for instance.

SwiftKey keyboard has option to set the space bar behavior, it does not always insert predictions, I found its learning ability to work well. And the ability to change long press duration is very nice, i don't need to switch to the number/icon tab often, and if I did, the numeric keypad is properly setup (t9). It does support some multi touch such as holding down shift key type a word all CAPs

I love the way the camera uses its auto focus. I feel like I'm high on mushrooms or drunk. Hehe. Anyways. The Sony Ericsson phones have that swipe and also I have ported it to the x10 and am working on porting to other devices. Will let you guys know how I get on.
