People can disrespect us all day long. They hate us until they need us and when they do need us we didnt get there fast enough. An to all of you who do hate us no matter what we will always be there and lay our lives on the line so you can be safe just remember that in the back of your mind. And why do we do that? Its because it is our calling our passion. So yall can talk all the noise you want because us men and women in blue are always going to be there
Cops are not as bad as people make them out to be, Sure they give speeding tickets but its their JOB to enforce the law. I could understand if a cop gave you a ticket for going 50 in a 45 mph zone. that'd be ridiculous. But believe it or not some cops only do it to protect people. They dont do it to be jerks. They dont get paid near enough for what they do. Im considering being a Police Officer. Its something ive thought about since i was a kid. Im also a volunteer fireman andconsideringthatalso

It made me remember when my boyfriend said that he wanted to die in the line of duty, saving someone else's life". That made me so sad because it is the very people who make comments like that, that he would die for. I know I am guilty of the same comments before I started dating him. I wish I could take them back
@MsHolmar I just had a wonderful, dear friend of mine die in the line of duty in March of 2010. I never thought it would be someone I knew. A part of my heart died that day. I know many law enforcement officials want to die in a blaze of glory--that's how I used to want to go too. But all it is is heart-wrenching, bone-chilling sadness that never goes away. It's not glory. It's just a black hole of anger, sadness and bitterness.
