I have the unlocked one, its a great peace of kit for every day out and about stuff, facebook youtube video uploads ect ect, much better than a net book, cheep to run on the 3 network with all you can eat data,ot just dose so much great size screen not to big like the i pad, just fits into coat pocket a treat, one of the best things i have ever owned, just used ot now for this post.

Seems to be that people pay MORE for BIG SCREENS so they can surf the web and actually be able to type and read what is on their screens! I actually need to buy an Tablet of some sort soon. Can someone recommend one with the Android OS, that is fast, requires no monthly subscription, can use wireless internet, and hopefully be able to make phone calls using the internet? @AleiatheEnchanted ... no it's the first version, the 7" with the 1GHz single core (the 7.7" has the 1.4GHz dual core). The video was uploaded back in Oct 2010, the 7.7" wasn't released to the public until the end of 2011 so therefore this HAS TO BE the single core 7" model.

I use my tab for phone calls all the time. It comes with a headset, and i use it with a stereo BT headset for music/calls mostly anyway. BTW the reason the quality was shit when you held it up was cuz your finger was on the mic, of course its gonna be crap then.

Using bluetooth with this is the way to go. I ideally wouldn't use this as my main phone but having the option to phone from what is essentially a play thing is really cool though. So far I'm happy with the device. Screen size is perfect as I feel the iPad is too large to be convenient. Having said that I feel both devices are cool. Only let down is that the screen would have been better if it were LED not LCD.

Just remember people. This is a Tab. Pretty cool and I still have my phone. I always carry my tab and surf and play on it whenever I'm free. I find it more easy to carry than Ipad thats why i like it. So the decision is all up to the buyer how comfortable he can be and how a tab will satisfy him/her.

Mic-hole is on the side in the begining of the call, you stupidly hold your fingers on the mic-hole so your buddy can't hear you ... my tab has no such issues if i keep my finger off the hole ;) And I think its meant to be used with a bluetooth headset. (I use one & works like magic)
