@vollsticks: Tyner was backstage. During this period it was common for the band to open with Ramblin' Rose, sung by Wayne, then Rob would come out for the second song which was almost always Kick Out The Jams.

A popular phrase back then was "Do they walk it like the talk it?" Well, the MC5 sure did. In '68 they were the only known band to play at People 's Park during the Dem. Convention. The Airplane and others all backed out because of the threatened reprisals against kids and those who supported them against Mayor Daily. I was in Japan, doing my military service on Armed Forces Radio: I made sure I played at least one MC5 song in every show.
