Yeah, Dk2 had in my opinion the best soundtrack out of all the DK Country series. The soundtrack for this level is definitely my favorite, followed closely by the "Disco Train" soundtrack, (the rollercoaster level). It's the combination of one of the most well engineered games in the past 20 years, the music which it is accompanied by, and a load of nostalgia pie that responsible for me still playing the DK series on a daily basis, on the same SNES I have owned since I was 8 (I am now 22).

The Mine Cart theme from DKC1 also had a very memorable theme as well but, I agree with you that DKC2 had the most memorable soundtracks out of the series. DKC3's music was kinda weak in my opinion.

@TCSCskater to me it's just the likeness of the music that brings me almost to tears sometimes, same with the bayou theme and kannon's claim, it's just too beautiful!! i don't know why! it's the whole concept and feel of this game that is so well designed it's hard to let go :p it's been 13 years since i bought this game and it still goes through my mind over and over :p the music is definitely the big attraction!

I hated this level when I was young. It was so confusing and the wrong move could kill you xD; But now.. I don't mind the level at all... it's better than that parrot racing level... what was it squak's somthing? I like the music for this level and the Smash Bros. Brawl remake makes it calmer than expected (I honestly didn't recognize it at first xD;)

Back then, you had to go through the same several times and you also had to had precision skills and reflexes to beat these games... and just needed 3 buttons along with the D pad. I rather play with my old SNES with lo-res graphics than those fancy 3D games that offer nothin' but good looking graphics instead of entertaining gameplay AND ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACKS. Now they just dump a random playlist of pre-made songs off of your local radio station on them.

I never did get far in DKC2, mainly because I don't own it or was not that good at the DKC games. Still, the original version of Bramble Blast..... it just have a really sad feel, like you are grieving for the death of your soulmate...

@kosmischemyke jump in the pit before the dragonflies (flitters) at the end. You will fall into a barrel and will be shot to squawks. Then fly left, and, guarded by a yellow zinger, there is the dk coin :D

oh my this brings some great memories back..... I loved the Donkey Kong Country games on the super nintendo they were the best!!!! and will always be the best!!!! I always remember this level playing as a kid in the 90s lol..... and I always found this song just amazing and relaxing...... The Donkey Kong Country games had great music especially the 2nd game which is my favorite Donkey Kong Country game. I still have all the original super nes DKC games in good condition as well.

One of the greatest levels of the game, because the ambiance, the level's construction, and the ethereal music is very different compared to the rest of the levels in the game. The first time I played this level I was surprised. Bramble Blast, Kannon's Klaim and Haunted Hallway are the best levels, in my opinion.

The music is amazing in this game. That's why this level is one of my all time favorite gaming moments. It's had such a deep impact on me that when I'm listening to other music it reminds me of the theme to this level. And I'm not talking about instrumentals.
