They made a big deal about the recent primaries, but Romney only holds 12 delegates. There are around 1000 to try to win and 48 more states to go. How the hell did we elect someone as anti-American as Obama? How did we elect someone who has sat in a congregation of a man who says, "God damn America"? Academia in general. 3. Most of the media. 4. Crafty politicians. 5. Too many people holding thier hands out saying, "gimme gimme gimme". 6. A lack of effort on the peoples' part to properly vet thier candidates (though I think that's changing). and 7. A basic lack of knowledge of our founding and our founding documents.
@USSJ3 You left out one of the more important reasons, the GOP gave us McCain a man that agreed more with liberals than conservatives. As a conservative (Not a republican), I couldn't not support him. The GOP will not win until they get back to their basic core values of limited government and freedom, something they abandoned.
@mtoasty As a fellow Conservative, I don't disagree. We have to remember what resulted from candidates like McCain and Dole. The argument that we need a moderate is the same as was tried when Reagan was a candidate, and you know how that turned out. That's what we need now; a person who is the anti-Obama, and who believes in the principles and policies which have made our nation great. I will continue to fight for that, as I'm sure you will.

People who are proud of their country support polcies which encourage the free market, which don't punish people who succeed, which allow people to keep more of what they earn, which defnds our borders, which upholds our laws, etc...

Libertarians have never been elected in large numbers but they are the only major political party that is for liberty, freedom, and capitalism and the U.S. Constitution. It is a philosophy. Academia in general. 3. Most of the media. 4. Crafty politicians. 5. Too many people holding thier hands out saying, "gimme gimme gimme". 6. A lack of effort on the peoples' part to properly vet thier candidates (though I think that's changing). and 7. A basic lack of knowledge of our founding and our founding documents.

The argument that we need a moderate is the same as was tried when Reagan was a candidate, and you know how that turned out. ...It matters a great deal. People who hold your view tend to be resentful of the US, and so tend to support policies which are supposed to deal with the apparent injustices of the US. That makes a difference in govt regulations of businesses, taxation, and welfare. I am happy to say, the 2012 political Calendars are out and now for the first time since Obama took office (to my observation) there are a few Calendars which are opposed to Obama. The most noteworthy is the "Obama Countdown Calendar of 2012", comes furnished with advise from other one term Presidents, like Jimmy Carter. Seems everyone understand the probability is extremely low Obama will get re-elected. We are in Damage control mode. =)

@Auroraslaugh, Do Teachers ever say to a kid, you once had much promise but those days are gone forever. Seems strange that Obama said in his jobs speach, America used to be a land of opportunity but those days are gone. President Hope sure is extinguishing Hope for Americans. Seems depressing Americans and eliminating hope is not the most favorable way of motivating Americans to support his Agenda. Obama continues to prove he is very bad for America. =)

Repubes are not offering any substantial cuts. Nothing meaningful. Government continues to grow in size and scope. More laws, rules, mandates, ordinances, regulations. We already voted for Carter, Slick Willy twice, Osama Obama once, and LBJ, and you have faith in the American people? Bush 41 and 43 bent us over without lubricant. Socialism has now defeated capitalism. One in every three Americans recieves some form of government check! That is staggering! No more Reagans out there.

I mean, the winning of 63 House seats, 6 Senate seats, and at least 7 Governorships during the last mid-terms means we MUST be defeated! "Repubs are not offering any subtantial cuts". That's true, for now. The Repub party is in transition right now, and we are in the process of removing RINO and moderate Repubs. I have faith the majority of Americas can turn this around. @USSJ3 I have been down this road before counting on repubes to do something and to restore liberty to this republic and it never happened. Libertarians have never been elected in large numbers but they are the only major political party that is for liberty, freedom, and capitalism and the U.S. Constitution. It is a philosophy. I don't think you will get enough "true conservatives" in office to make a change. Too many socialist cities, counties, states and politicians. Nobody is talking cuts.

The Repubs were thought to be finished in the 70's, and it was a lie. Reagan believe in revitalizing the Repubs into Conservatism, and it largely worked until some Repubs decided to act more like liberals. Further, you are mistaken if you think government is the solution to these problems. The people must do this!!
