  • Hey, flew mine first up last weekend. Used the busted front wheel (second flight) as a plug to make a cast for fibreglass. Strengthened top mount with extra glass and i fly off a rough surface but without anymore probs.

  • Nice job as always Jeff. Hey, I just ordered this plane today, but with a 2.4

radio, so I been checkin` around the net all day. What kind of store carries

that amazing goop? I know I`m responding to an older vid........ is the plane

still holding up? Some people don`t give it very good reviews.

    Scott

  • Nice flying. I just ordered the latest version of this. How often does the prop break? Is it a 11x4.7SF? Thanks.

  • whats a good RC plane for a begginer who has only flown the 20 dollar ones at Walmart? I need one thats not to exspensive but Ive only flown the ones from Walmart before. Please help.

  • @tjmiller97 The Wild Hawk might be a good one, or a Cub or the Firebird Phantom. There are many out there to choose from.

  • @tjmiller97

buy a plane that is easy to fly but will not bore you after you can do 3d moves.

i trained on the u-can-do 46, a 3d plane but easy to fly.

  • @tjmiller97 What EVER you do, don't waste $164.00 on this plane. You will be nickled and dimed to DEATH because the front nose wheel assembly is HORRIBLE !! Barring bad front heavy landings, the very vibrations of blacktop roads/runways will break this cheapass assembly right apart. And you have to buy the whole fuselage to fix this because the swing arm only comes with the fuselage. Forget about amazing goop, or apoxies, or witchdoctors. STay away from this communist chinese junk !!

  • hahahah!! the sun is black fo su reeson!!

  • woops for the landing ^^

  • I love this plane! It was under the tree for me this year and I went out and flew it yesterday. That was was the first time I ever flew an RC plane, and I didn't practice on a sim either. It is very stable in the air, but I could use some help trimming the elevators.

  • great

  • Thanks

  • arent you a friend ok nightflyer aka dave

  • Sure am. I'm his cameraman. aka Jeff

  • daaammm what a landin!!!!!!!!!!!!.....awesome video!!!.....im hoping i get one this winter, it seems to be a very strong plane and easy to fly. i have the cmpro cessna 182 from nitroplanes as well and its almost the same size

  • Just got this one, and if you hit the $129 sale what a deal ! Only issue with mine is the front nose wheel wont seat inplace, but am likely to do night flying, handles some winds with no issue, hand launches beautifully, up and away with no drop at 2/3rds throttle, this puppie is a value buy and a winner, love it..BEST

  • Lol! I love the end clip xD! also im considering getting this plane! just before 12 tonight for the black friday discount sale :)

  • You won't be disappointed. After having this plane for a while I've also learned that it has decently long flight times, and with each flight, I like it more and more. Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • Thanks for the reply! and I ordered one last night a few minutes before 12 and i cant wait to recieve mine!

  • crazy landing lol

  • Great plane and good flyying! LOL The cameraman needs a bit of practice keeping the plane in frame. (Start of video) ;o) good one Dave!

  • Very nice plane and awesome job flying it. Love the last clip. I'm still laughing about it. 5* to both of you.Keep up the good work.

  • dont drink and fly. just kidding.nice plane for beginners

  • First off, just want to say you guys are awsome! You and Dave keep up the good work...I just bought my FMS Sky Trainer and put my 2.4 ghz reciever in..My question is does the antenna of the reciever have to be out of plane to work without any problems?

  • First off, thanks for the great compliment! I don't think the antenna needs to be exposed, but it sure can't hurt. It wouldn't take much to drill a tiny little hole in the foam for the antenna to stick out of. Also be sure to range-check it while still on the ground. It's always nice to know if you're going to run out of range before it's in the air. Thanks for the comment!!!

  • is this one good or the dynam sky trainer for first 4 channel

  • That question is difficult to answer. I have never flown the Dynam Sky Trainer, but the FMS Sky Trainer has a 55.5 inch wingspan, and the Dynam is 37.8. They're probably about the same, but I don't know that for a fact.

  • Nice!!! great blooper ending!!! keep it on!!!

  • Thanks....will do.

  • hmmmm rough landing, is that wheel turning part of the rudder or a 5th channel

  • Not all landings are perfect. The rudder and nose wheel operate on the same servo. It would be very confusing if they were separate. Thanks for the comment.

  • Nice plane and nice flying, Jeff! That last clip seemed a little like deja vu to me, LOL! Remember that great shot I "captured" on the roof of the trailer??

  • Hahah....what video? I don't remember seeing any video. That musta been a practice run. LOL. Thanks for the comment S&K.

  • no spinner?

  • Nope, the box was short 2 screws for the spinner. It flies just fine without it.

  • Would you recommend this plane for a first time RC pilot and just not use the ailerons or would you recomend the Piper Cub J3? I figure why not get a 4 channel so when im ready to advance i dont have ot buy a whole new aircraft.

  • I'd recommend the J3 Cub or the Firebird Phantom if you've never flown an RC aircraft before, and have an instructor help you so you don't crash on the first flight and end up picking up the pieces. This airplane is more of a 'next step' after learning to fly a 3 channel airplane.

  • ight, thanks i will get the piper cub and i dont think i will have in instructor seeing that i know a few people and have seen many people on the internet that have done jsut fine with on instructor.

  • Good job Bro! I broke my front wheel off too, the first hard landing, lol, since I glued it back together, it has not broke anymore, I think thats a weak spot, and check your wing struts, make sure they don't pull out of the wings during loops. 5***** Jeff, good flying.................Bob

  • The wing struts screwed in tighter than trying to pound a square peg through a round hole. Did you have one fail? I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the comment and rating, Bob. Cheers!

  • Both ends of the strut, are only pushed in about a quarter inch, inside the strut itself. I had one come out on me, so I super glued it back in, and wrapped clear tape around it. No more problems since.

  • That's good to know. I'll have to check that out and reinforce it anyway. What was the outcome? Did it result in a crash and/or a broken wing?

  • Lucky enough no, when I landed, I picked it up and turned it over to take the battery out, and thats when I noticed the end came out of the strut up by the wing, I'm assuming it happened when I did a few loops.

  • How long of flight time do you get on the stock 1800mah LiPo, Jeff?

    Thanks!

  • I'm not sure. The instructions say 20 minutes, but I'm sure that all depends on how you fly it. The longest I've had it in the air is 10 minutes. Even though it will probably fly longer than that, I never want to take the chance of a crash or a hard landing due to the battery going dead.

  • Nice Jeff!

  • Thank you!

  • Lookin good Jeff! Like I posted on Dave's vvideo of you flying this one, I saw this one on nitroplanes and really thought for the money it looks like the perfect step up from the Phantom I am flying now. I just saw what you said in the sidebar and figure it must be a sign. HAHA! Guess I better show my wife that and maybe throw down a little Christmas hint. HA! Good flying again bud. 5 stars from a big fan of you and Dave.

  • It's definitely a great airplane. They should include Amazing Goop in the box to fix the nose wheel. So far that's the only weakness that I have found with this airplane. Good luck on getting one for Christmas. LOL.

  • that loooks like it flies nice, shame about the wind though.

  • It's almost always windy here. You get used to it. If we didn't fly in the wind, we wouldn't be flying very often at all. LOL. Thanks for the comment.

  • LOL you know I noticed that on y'alls videos. Its always windy there. Bet you can fly backwards too lol.

I dont think my Tie Interceptor would fly to well over there in that wind. lol

  • Thank you kindly.

    Cheers.

  • Great ending after the main video ;-) that was some sweet flying in that wind Jeff and the landing was a lot better than on my last flight mate, which should be up now if you want to what it lol,5*

  • Thanks for the comment. I'll have to check that out. (Don't have time right now, but I will)

  • Looks like a winner Jeff!

  • I sure think so. Thanks. :-)

  • I was wondering about the sun also it looked weird. amazing goop to the rescue that stuff must be tuff. Great flying.-5*

  • Amazing goop works pretty good. Too bad it can't be used on the foam....it would melt. LOL.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • There ya go Jeff. Have Dave learn how to use the camera a bit ( just kidding ) and get your self on the controls.. Great job.

    GET OUT and FLY!!

    BruceM (BFOAMY) 5 Stars

  • Dave's usually the one flying and I'm usually the one behind the camera. Every once in a while we get to switch roles. LOL. Thanks for the comment.

  • Better landing then the last ;) . That look just like the Cessna just pumped on steroids. 5 stars and hope to see more!

  • Stay tuned. I'll probably make more videos of this one. It's a lot of fun to fly. Thanks for the comment.

  • great flyin jeff

  • Thank you.

  • Ha ha! I had the same winds yesterday.

    Lower the throttle and hover.

Looks like the Goop held up perfectly!

  • Yep, the Amazing Goop held up amazingly. LOL Thanks for the comment

  • nice flight Jeff !

  • Thanks.

  • Hahahah. That cameraman was good. He never lost it once! LOL. Great flying Jeff. I'm proud of your progress. 5 stars.

  • I AGREE! that camera man is a freakin pro, i should hire that guy....

  • Thanks Dave. Yeah, the cameraman was pretty good, but I know one guy that's reallllly good with a camera. LOL.

    Thanks for the comment Dave.

  • great flight looks to valuable i would be afraid to fly it haha. Oh and why does the sun look like a black hole on camera?? anyway 5 * nice job.

  • I'm not sure why that happens. A lot of cameras do that. Thanks for the comment.

  • Great flight Jeff. Looks like a cool flying plane.

    5 Stars ~ Eric

  • Thanks Eric.

    ~Jeff

  • great flight that thing really cooks last clip is hilarious

  • Hahaha....thanks.

  • Great flight Jeff! That does look pretty stable. Must be nice to have a guy like Dave around to help out. Keep it up! ps love the ending clip!! 5*

  • Thanks for the compliment. It's a great flying plane for sure. Dave's a pretty good guy. I'm happy to know him.

  • hahaha, HE SWORE! lol.

  • It happens. Dave thought he didn't get any of that flight on video.

  • That is a very nice looking plane, flies nice, a lot like my Multiplex Magister :-)

  • Thank you!
