In that vid, it looked like the guy, despite greater strength overall, ran out of endurance and lost to a skilled girl.

I have to honestly rethink my position on that. Although, most of time guys win and there are vids on others' channels that prove that guys who are somewhat strong and do not pull back from using power to win over girl, sometimes very quickly (30 seconds or less in at least one case), there are instances where that is not the case.
Watch a vid called "Girls come on! Go find yourself another sport!" It is a pretty typical depiction of what happens when a girl/woman, even with relatively strong legs like in that video, tries to wrestle against a stronger guy. Some loser guys, guys who hold back and exceptionally strong girls have girls and some guys convinced that girls can win against guys all the time. That happens a minority of time.
Watch vid titled "first time wrestling a girl." The strength differential is not that great, in fact it is visibly just slightly in favor of boy and he still dominated match. Plus another thing often in girls' favor is guys do hold back from using full power because we have been taught not to hurt girls and guess what, most guys take that seriously.
@gberchenko Maybe true, but doesn't deny that there are women who are wrestlers or martial artist who can defeat men and have defeated men bigger than them, as much as 30-50lbs. But these guys lacked defense and strength. This may not be seen on the internet too much. I will post some of the videos of smaller women winning. But they were well toned. I know it sucks to have a discussion on youtube, because one can only use so many words.
I do not deny that, but again some of these videos are staged, in some bouts the men lose because they do not even try for the reason I stated above. The simple physical fact is that if I weigh 170lbs and mostly muscle and you weigh 120lbs and we grapple I am more likely to move you where I want to then you are to me, if I don't hold back of course. Simple physics - force =mass X acceleration.

I just read that in high school wrestling guys are not allowed to use high crotch maneuvers on girls, which could (not necessarily would - don't put words in my mouth) end many of these bouts in guys' favor very quickly. This channel demonstrates that many times (certainly not always) guys win despite these limitations.

thanks for your response. I am not against girls or female wrestling but against mixed wrestling. Personally, i know of no other examples of mixed competitions. Never seen, on a competitive level, a 100 meters race with both gender running, neither a football matches with players of both gender.

A well trained woman in judo, wrestling has an excellent chance of defeating a male who has no training or lacks training. It is easy and natural for men to reject to this truth. And Kimberli Smith is not alone. Some have not had the chance to be on the internet.
I would say what you say is true. It is still though a tiny minority who defeat males. The fact is strength is a big factor in wrestling and other combat. I have been in martial arts and from my experience it is very difficult (not impossible - but difficult) to apply joint locks, etc. against someone significantly stronger. The older we get, the more testosterone men put out compared to women, therefore we are stronger. Are you female?
Also, there are some physical tasks women are better at than men, but grappling and wrestling and fighting are for most part not among them. Most of time, (there are exceptions and perhaps quite a few now-adays) the average man will defeat the average woman in a no-holds barred fight, especially if he does not hold back. Nothing anti-female here, just stating facts that go off basic physics and the concept of force. I being just an average man would not think of fighting some NFL guy.
In some cases it was luck, in some cases the women or girls have exceptional strength and are stronger than guys, and in many cases, I suspect, a factor you leave out is guys do not really try because they are afraid to hurt the female. Strength is not the only factor, but it is a big one and a rough but educated guess is that if guys do not hold back and are not afraid of hurting the female, 90% of the time they will win. Why is it so hard to accept that reality?
Like I said, strength is not the only factor but it is a big one. Some times men do not have the strength advantage, other times women are exceptional at using leverage and other skills. Still most of time, especially if there is a significant strength differential, and the male does not hold back the male wins. That's not an insult, just facts, but go ahead and take it as insult if you wish.
Like a commenter on guyswhobeatgirls' channel said, it has become politically correct for YouTube to post only the videos where girls beat guys. Some of those are staged actually to fulfill a certain (sick - imho) fantasy. Others involve girls who actually have superior strength and yes, in some cases, superior other skills. I can not give a percent, but I say in majority of cases an average man will beat an average woman because of strength advantage and muscle DOES count!
I understand though that there are thousands of cases where guys beat girls and those do not make it to YouTube or elsewhere on Internet. It has become politically correct to perpetuate myth that guys are either pure brutes or spineless wimps who can not do anything against combative females. Saying this I mean no disrespect to the true female athletes out there. However, strength counts and where the differential is great even a trained female would have a very small chance.

There is the average woman, above average woman, average man, above average man and different situations and experiences...these all factor in...maybe not all at once, but are possible factors that contribute to a person winning. There are women who have more grappling/wrestling experience than men, but a lot of men are too arrogant and egotistical to admit to it.
It is not egotistical to admit facts. Those women who have more experience can perhaps win against men where there is a slight strength differential but not where the differential is great. The difference in strength between men and women is often great in favor of man. Not an "egotistical" statement dear, just facts because testosterone give us advantage in this department. Everything I stated is borne out by research and by plain observation in numerous gyms and elsewhere.
With judo and aikido it may be different, I have to look into it. But in traditional Western style wrestling what I said holds, especially if the man is strong enough to lift up the woman the woman has almost no chance and I think you know this but are perhaps in denial.
Look up YouTube video "Vanessa vs a stronger guy part 1" and "Vanessa vs a stronger guy part 3". It is a pretty realistic depiction of what happens when a woman tries to wrestle a stronger man and he is only using half his strength but easily gets out of her holds while she can not do same. Yes skill and experience count to a point, where the strength differential is not great. Other factors - determination, adrenalin, etc. of course come into play also.
YouTube only allows so many words, it's not that I am trying to post after post. There is a vid which shows a girl beating a guy and it is pretty realistic so I can tell it is not staged. But they are in same weight division about 105-110 lbs and the guy's muscles are relatively under-developed. A female commenter there admits that in the 145lb division the guys are a lot more muscular than even girls of same weight and girls find it almost impossible to beat them.

Good point, and most probably would not, though I will acknowledge that there are exceptionally strong women out there who would prove us wrong! @2arunout you just dont want to understand national statistics, not mine show boys winning at least 84% of thetmie in 2006,07,08,09 and 10. girls do not win that much overall. perhaps a few like one percent win often but thats the exception. and you dont seem to consider that the psycological implications do more harm than good to boys when they do rarely loose. its wrong for boys and gilrs to compete. physcologists have analyzed this fully. its not just my opinion.

And no pun intended, but what in the fuck does physcologists know about wrestling/grappling and the like unless they have participated in the sport then they only observe as general people do.

@2arunout read my message to your site carefully. i cant explain as much on this comment site. i never said 100% in high school wrestling i said 100% when it real legit competition and evenly matched. some females win over guys because they have an advantage of size, sometimes and experience. but whenit real and as even as could be girls dont get very far. they loose to guys more than they win, always.

@bigblondman1 you can make your opinion all you want and rightfully so and so can I, but it isn't going to prove anything. I ask you to look closely at some the videos of girls against guys. Kimberli Smith defeated bigger boys and a few guys, because she was more experienced and skilled. MAYBE. I don't know how she won, all I know is she has won against the likes of guys. Maybe she was even stronger. The only people that know for a fact are the two competing in that match.

There are always exceptional women/girls. One Kimberly Smith does not mean squat. Most of time if females try to wrestle males it ends like this videos here, or worse with woman in hospital. You should not try to wrestle members of a sex that mother nature never intended for you to fight.

@gberchenko there are girls/women who have defeated men in fighting and wrestling and that is a fact. Are they all luck. I don't think so and that would be an insult to women competing in wrestling, grappling and the sort. A well trained woman in judo, wrestling has an excellent chance of defeating a male who has no training or lacks training. It is easy and natural for men to reject to this truth. And Kimberli Smith is not alone. Some have not had the chance to be on the internet.

I would say what you say is true. It is still though a tiny minority who defeat males. The fact is strength is a big factor in wrestling and other combat. I have been in martial arts and from my experience it is very difficult (not impossible - but difficult) to apply joint locks, etc. against someone significantly stronger. The older we get, the more testosterone men put out compared to women, therefore we are stronger. Are you female?

Also, there are some physical tasks women are better at than men, but grappling and wrestling and fighting are for most part not among them. Most of time, (there are exceptions and perhaps quite a few now-adays) the average man will defeat the average woman in a no-holds barred fight, especially if he does not hold back. Nothing anti-female here, just stating facts that go off basic physics and the concept of force. I being just an average man would not think of fighting some NFL guy.

In some cases it was luck, in some cases the women or girls have exceptional strength and are stronger than guys, and in many cases, I suspect, a factor you leave out is guys do not really try because they are afraid to hurt the female. Strength is not the only factor, but it is a big one and a rough but educated guess is that if guys do not hold back and are not afraid of hurting the female, 90% of the time they will win. Why is it so hard to accept that reality?

Like I said, strength is not the only factor but it is a big one. Some times men do not have the strength advantage, other times women are exceptional at using leverage and other skills. Still most of time, especially if there is a significant strength differential, and the male does not hold back the male wins. That's not an insult, just facts, but go ahead and take it as insult if you wish.

Like a commenter on guyswhobeatgirls' channel said, it has become politically correct for YouTube to post only the videos where girls beat guys. Some of those are staged actually to fulfill a certain (sick - imho) fantasy. Others involve girls who actually have superior strength and yes, in some cases, superior other skills. I can not give a percent, but I say in majority of cases an average man will beat an average woman because of strength advantage and muscle DOES count!

I understand though that there are thousands of cases where guys beat girls and those do not make it to YouTube or elsewhere on Internet. It has become politically correct to perpetuate myth that guys are either pure brutes or spineless wimps who can not do anything against combative females. Saying this I mean no disrespect to the true female athletes out there. However, strength counts and where the differential is great even a trained female would have a very small chance.

@gberchenko And there may be a number of videos where the female beats the male that don't make it to youtube or the internet period. There is the average woman, above average woman, average man, above average man and different situations and experiences...these all factor in...maybe not all at once, but are possible factors that contribute to a person winning. There are women who have more grappling/wrestling experience than men, but a lot of men are too arrogant and egotistical to admit to it.

It is not egotistical to admit facts. Those women who have more experience can perhaps win against men where there is a slight strength differential but not where the differential is great. The difference in strength between men and women is often great in favor of man. Not an "egotistical" statement dear, just facts because testosterone give us advantage in this department. Everything I stated is borne out by research and by plain observation in numerous gyms and elsewhere.

With judo and aikido it may be different, I have to look into it. But in traditional Western style wrestling what I said holds, especially if the man is strong enough to lift up the woman the woman has almost no chance and I think you know this but are perhaps in denial.

Look up YouTube video "Vanessa vs a stronger guy part 1" and "Vanessa vs a stronger guy part 3". It is a pretty realistic depiction of what happens when a woman tries to wrestle a stronger man and he is only using half his strength but easily gets out of her holds while she can not do same. Yes skill and experience count to a point, where the strength differential is not great. Other factors - determination, adrenalin, etc. of course come into play also.

YouTube only allows so many words, it's not that I am trying to post after post. There is a vid which shows a girl beating a guy and it is pretty realistic so I can tell it is not staged. But they are in same weight division about 105-110 lbs and the guy's muscles are relatively under-developed. A female commenter there admits that in the 145lb division the guys are a lot more muscular than even girls of same weight and girls find it almost impossible to beat them.

@2arunout dont be so quick to say size is overated. nearly all of the videos i have seen of girls beating guys involved a larger, stronger girl. either that, or the guy was terrible (or the girl was good, its hard to tell sometimes) girls do deserve to wrestle boys if they want to, but it isnt sexist to suggest that there should also be a seperate woman's league. the "best" female wrestlers can crush the average boy, but would any of them stand a chance against an all american?

Good point, and most probably would not, though I will acknowledge that there are exceptionally strong women out there who would prove us wrong! But overall, women are not meant to fight men, sorry to disappoint anyone with those simple facts. That said, there are women/girls who overcome the disadvantages or have developed significant strength and more power to them. But most of time that is not the case, and even the vid here shows it pretty clearly.
