No it isnt. The sound mod does a great job on presenting them, to sound like a real gun battle, but they're not "Realistic". If you hear the guns in real life, they don't sound like this... I'm making a sound modification for a game called Call of Duty 2, If you look in my profile, you can see demos (and may be more on the way).

I agree with warofthegalaxies, it does sound very "Recorded", especially the rocket lanchers..

they may not sound EXACTLY like it but he has the right idea of how guns give off a popping noise. The way it sounds from a distance is very close to a real fire fight. This is why I like Chammy's work.

this is the best ARMA sound pack out there :) Some gun sounds sound a little weak but most are perfect :)

Chammy92243 can you give us some info of your progress about your awesome sound pack...

I think you should work on AK47's sound.. it sounds kinda cheap no offence.. just an advice... add some echo to it and make it more powerful...

Also I think that explosion of AT4 is a little not realistic.. try to combine it with granade sound.. and silenced M4 sounds a little cheap too.. but thx for this demo

PS: How do you make your own sound pack? I wish I caould make my own...

Well, idid all this from scratch and not a CD or other game sounds, I might have used a few from ghost recon but not many, just some to mix with some of mine to get a cleaner sound, most are from footage and I just them and made them louder and cleaner, I made sure alot of them are what you'd hear in real life.

Perfect, the only thing that might be wrong is the way the sound fades out on the ak-74, sort of sounds unrealistic but the others are spot on, better than any other sound mod i've heard so far, great work

Well, this is my first attempt to change ArmA sound FX at the time so I found what I could that sounded the closest to what I hear on the range, I just edited the sounds real quick like to throw in and see how they turned out, they werent entirely finished yet when i posted this video. But yeah, the end echos do sound a bit weird , just rough drafted at the time.

Your 240 sound is right on the money. In real life, that thing RIPS in comparison to other weapons, and you did a much better job than BIS of presenting that.

Well, I had this idea I was hoping that someone with scripting expertise would help implement. I also made some urban sounds for a more city effect as a test. Its really awesome, I will post that preview soon in a jiff.

You have got to possess THE MOST wicked sounds going. My favorite is the heavy weapons like the AR's...the way they have that "popcorn" echo is just....sweet man. I hope by the time I get ArmA when it drops here in the US you'll have something for us to download. :)

The explosion was changed out from ArmA's, I figured it sounded right on, its just ArmA didnt stick their sounds in the right place. Modern Warfare sound?

Ahh yes, punch is good, well, i can't get close to the punch concusion u feel when u fire a weapon in real life but just the idea I guess heh.

Good job man, especially with light machine guns, SAW sounds just great with echo. I dont line silenced M4, no power in this sound, its like someone blowing a sipper. Waiting for final result, till then i recomend FDFsoundpack10 - best ArmA soundpack available atm.
