So your right about the pushups but not about everything else. You have to run long distances to lose the weight they do, like over 10 miles, which takes a lot longer than an Insanity workout. Crunches only work your upper abs, and super defined four-pack does not look that good (in my opinion). Now pull ups are not an arm workout, they are for your back. Chin ups work your biceps and pull ups work your triceps, but only a little, you won't get ripped. All of these things are
I doubt Shaun T got his arms just by doing this program. Looks like he loves curls and tricep exercises. Still a great program to follow if you're just looking to cut up and get in shape though.

@packerkid00 did u check your caloric intake and create a deficit? eating healthy isn't really enough u really should check calories. also like you said maybe u just didn't push hard enough also you are only 14 so idk where you are at development wise but once u get a bit older testosterone levels will increase speeding up muscle growth so you will probs see a drastic increase in results

@noahtw96 You do maintenance. By doing 2 or 3 workouts a week you keep your body in top shape and your metabolism on high gear. Aslong as you don't go munching on the cookies too much you should be fine and look fit for live :)

P90X more on slow twitch muscle strength training and endurance...Insanity is more on fast twitch muscle speed and power training, and is more useful in almost all sports and everyday activites.

It has to be sustainable to be any good. Something that kills you for 60 days isn't going to be as sustainable as something moderate. There's also the need for a sustainable diet.
this time i tried doing the insanity (max interval)... oh lord... it was HARD. but at the sametime, it was alot of fun!!! all the punching move was my favorite.
@Knock1Please Shaun says throughout the program that safety is the number one priority, and to check your heart rate. Most people will be able to tell if they should continue with the program from the start of day one. Unless you are on PCP or something, you definitely won't be able to push yourself to death that easily. Yes, this program is for people that are already fit, and overweight people should be able to judge that from looking up reviews, like most people tend to do.
I wrestle. This is honestly nothin compared to it. Try doin shit twice as hard, continuously, 1 water break throughout 2.5-3 hours, in a small room that is literally close to 100 degrees(Due to mass body heat of wrestlers and indoor temp turned up). U feel like u gonna die but it turns you into a MAN! Makes this look like childsplay! Went to nationals last year so i'm not just talkin smack! I know REAL HARD WORK!
Yes, when compared to the rigors of wrestling. There is no caomparison. If you dont believe me go out and try wrestling at local public tournaments or clubs where ever you may live. I guarantee you if you can stick with it (which a HIGH majority cannot) you will start seeing results in your overall fitness in the FIRST WEEK! THATS A GUARANTEE!
@idropbombes if you do insanity properly and push your body to the limits like your meant to, its incredibly hard. its always hard, cus if your an athlete you push your hardest so your knackered, if your amatuer, you push as hard as you can, and your knackered. so if you say its easy, yours not pushing as hard as you can. and so your not doing it properly.
Why people need to bash other for doing a workout program I will never know. Yeah being healthy is a lifestyle thing but having the balls to stick to this program shows that you can be up to it, and it gets you in very good shape to go out and be able to run, lift and whatever to maintain a good level of fitness. Yeah you gotta eat right and yeah you gotta exercise regularly, but for the price of a couple months at a gym you can do this instead and get into better shape than you would alone.

don't believe so much in the easy way. People rather take pills to lose weight than exercising. If you want to have visible muscles, expect a lifestyle change, not 60 days of exercise.

My friend and I did the test... well I thought I was active and bla bla doing splits and stuff. Well results were embarrassing. My friends fell on her face few times, and when we came outside to breath some air, my neighbor asked if we were swimming !!! (that wet). hey, im actually doing this work out, and wow, this is KILLER!!!
i was in the military and after the military, i felt unmotivated, so i bought this, and within the warm-up i was sweating, it's really good, and i really like it.
I say classic because if you do lean, you might as well do insanity.
P90X - You get strength. A lot of strength. Day 1, they have you doing pull ups and push ups non stop. Compare this with Insanity.
Insanity - You get ridiculous cardio. Take plyometrics and times that by 10 every day. Insanity is literally a fat shredder and you will be sweating truck loads of water in the workout, and tears during recovery.
@avatar098 P90X pretty much has a mix of everything in it's plate. From heavy pull ups/ push ups/ heavy pants/ etc. to jumping around/ punching/ kicking/ cardio.
Insanity, however, focuses entirely on cardio. My day 2 of Insanity, my legs hurt so bad i wanted to cry.. But i could say the same on P90X, my ARMS and BACK and ABS hurt so much i wanted to cry..
They are both ridiculous work outs. But for intensity, Insanity sure takes the lead.
Lol at anyone that thinks P90X is harder. I did P90X and it wasn't hard enough from a body building standpoint so I did 2 video's a day on top of the cardio. I stopped it all together when I realized I wouldn't get big gains and how flawed the ab program was. I still use some of the cardio programs because this lifestyle needs a lot of variety. Anyway I've been doing insanity for my cardio on top of my regular lifting and it's the hardest cardio/workout I've done including boxing & martial arts.

P90X more on slow twitch muscle strength training and endurance...Insanity is more on fast twitch muscle speed and power training, and is more useful in almost all sports and everyday activites.

Lifting weights in the gym like a nba player or football player would and doing insanity is something an athelte wanting to improve and be intense with it would do.

It has to be sustainable to be any good. Something that kills you for 60 days isn't going to be as sustainable as something moderate. There's also the need for a sustainable diet.

@Knock1Please Shaun says throughout the program that safety is the number one priority, and to check your heart rate. Most people will be able to tell if they should continue with the program from the start of day one. Unless you are on PCP or something, you definitely won't be able to push yourself to death that easily. Yes, this program is for people that are already fit, and overweight people should be able to judge that from looking up reviews, like most people tend to do.

I wrestle. This is honestly nothin compared to it. Try doin shit twice as hard, continuously, 1 water break throughout 2.5-3 hours, in a small room that is literally close to 100 degrees(Due to mass body heat of wrestlers and indoor temp turned up). U feel like u gonna die but it turns you into a MAN! Makes this look like childsplay! Went to nationals last year so i'm not just talkin smack! I know REAL HARD WORK!

Yes, when compared to the rigors of wrestling. There is no caomparison. If you dont believe me go out and try wrestling at local public tournaments or clubs where ever you may live. I guarantee you if you can stick with it (which a HIGH majority cannot) you will start seeing results in your overall fitness in the FIRST WEEK! THATS A GUARANTEE!

@idropbombes if you do insanity properly and push your body to the limits like your meant to, its incredibly hard. its always hard, cus if your an athlete you push your hardest so your knackered, if your amatuer, you push as hard as you can, and your knackered. so if you say its easy, yours not pushing as hard as you can. and so your not doing it properly.

Why people need to bash other for doing a workout program I will never know. Yeah being healthy is a lifestyle thing but having the balls to stick to this program shows that you can be up to it, and it gets you in very good shape to go out and be able to run, lift and whatever to maintain a good level of fitness. Yeah you gotta eat right and yeah you gotta exercise regularly, but for the price of a couple months at a gym you can do this instead and get into better shape than you would alone.

My friends fell on her face few times, and when we came outside to breath some air, my neighbor asked if we were swimming !!! (that wet). P90X Classic vs Insanity.
I say classic because if you do lean, you might as well do insanity.
P90X - You get strength. A lot of strength. Day 1, they have you doing pull ups and push ups non stop. Compare this with Insanity.
Insanity - You get ridiculous cardio. Take plyometrics and times that by 10 every day. Insanity is literally a fat shredder and you will be sweating truck loads of water in the workout, and tears during recovery.

@avatar098 P90X pretty much has a mix of everything in it's plate. From heavy pull ups/ push ups/ heavy pants/ etc. to jumping around/ punching/ kicking/ cardio.
Insanity, however, focuses entirely on cardio. My day 2 of Insanity, my legs hurt so bad i wanted to cry.. But i could say the same on P90X, my ARMS and BACK and ABS hurt so much i wanted to cry..
They are both ridiculous work outs. But for intensity, Insanity sure takes the lead.

Lol at anyone that thinks P90X is harder. I did P90X and it wasn't hard enough from a body building standpoint so I did 2 video's a day on top of the cardio. I stopped it all together when I realized I wouldn't get big gains and how flawed the ab program was. I still use some of the cardio programs because this lifestyle needs a lot of variety. Anyway I've been doing insanity for my cardio on top of my regular lifting and it's the hardest cardio/workout I've done including boxing & martial arts.
