@Egestus18 I had thought that it was a Grunenwald piece originally, but then I read the sleeve notes from my own copy of the disc and the piece I was hearing didn't correspond to what I was reading in the sleeve notes, so that's why I became confused. Most seem to think it is a Daniel Roth improvisation. If you have the score of 'Tu es Petrus' by Grunenwald, that would clear everything up I think!
Hi there I had once commented on your video and i think this might be discouraging but the more i think about this wonderful piece the more i am think its and improvisation and i don't know if that's correct but after being and organist for 15 years and hearing almost every piece there is and i have been looking in my archives for a couple of months to find out what song this is. I swear it might be one of those things that could be right under my nose. I will continue to look in to this.

@ThePipeorganman Hi there - I bought this CD in St Sulpice when I visited Paris a number of years ago.
Someone has since posted a comment suggesting that this piece is not, in fact, by Grunenwald, but I do not have any scores to cross-check it against and no-body has confirmed that it is not by Grunenwald.
I would be grateful if you could confirm this. The track listing on my CD says that this is a Grunenwald piece? I will need to take this video down if I have posted it incorrectly. Apologies to all for any miscommunication.
Thanks for your interest. I'm reluctant to post any more of this album because of any possible serious copyright infringement, but I can direct you to MegaUpload, where I can post some extra pieces.
I bought the CD in St Sulpice church when I visited it a few years ago (fantastic place!). It is called 'La Tradition de St Sulpice' and includes other organ/choral music by Grunenwald, Widor, Dupré and Daniel Roth himself.
to clear all confusion: I own this CD and this is Jean-Jaques Grunenwalds "Tu es Petrus" played by Daniel Roth in St. Sulpice!

In my ears it definitely sounds like roth, improvisation or maybe a composition, I can't say.

I actually own the score to this Grunenwald work, and this performance here is definitely NOT that piece at all. Just to alleviate any confusion.

@originaltommy Many thanks for your advice - I will amend the video accordingly. Do you have any idea what this piece actually is?
Best.

I believe this is is fact Daniel Roth improvising on Kyrie Orbis Factor.
It's from the CD 'La Tradition de St-Sulpice' [IFO 00086]

Could you post more pieces from this album? Maybe some Roth and more Grunenwald?

Astonishing climax to this piece, St Sulpice at its most thunderous :-) Beautiful piece, beautifully played.
Did this come from a CD, if so, which one?
thanks.

Could you maybe post one of Roth's compositions? I have been searching for them for years!

I would prefer to send you the audio file if that's ok - I wouldn't want to abuse the copyright issues too much on YT.
