But if you are an arabic speaker how do you translate words madad(15:19), mahdan(20:53,), farasha(51:48),bisaatan (71:19) and dahaha(79:30)? The Qur’an describes the earth crust as a carpet, without which human beings would not be able to survive because of the hot, fluid and hostile environment beneath it. The Qur’an is thus not only logical, it is mentioning a scientific fact that was discovered by geologists centuries later.
The Qur’an only compares the earth’s crust with a carpet. Some people seem to think that carpet can only be put on an absolute flat surface. It is possible to spread a carpet on a large sphere such as the earth. It can easily be demonstrated by taking a huge model of the earth’s globe covering it with a carpet.
The deeper layers of the earth are very hot, fluid and hostile to any form of life. The earth’s crust is a solidified shell on which we can live. The Qur’an rightly refers to it like a carpet spread out, so that we can travel along its roads and paths.

Anyway, comparing the Judeo-Christian cosmology with what I've read from Islamic cosmology, I still find much more mistakes in the Judeo-Christian concept about the Universe, and that's logical, because the Quran was written much later, when knowledge was already more advanced. And I actually find here a lack of criticism to what is wrong in all the 3 western religions, namely that the Universe, Earth, animals, humans, etc were created in a week! Agreements and disagreements: "The Quran was revealed during the dark ages": it was during the dark ages in Europe, not during the dark ages of the Muslim world then; to say that Allah made "the Earth as a carpet" does not necessarily mean that he made it flat, carpets can be spread out assuming a variety of shapes, not only flat; the Earth is scientifically proven to be actually egg or pear-shaped, although by such a small scale that it looks round;
Muslims have various ways of attempting to explain away the references to the setting and rising places of the sun in 18:86 & 90. Firstly in hydroglyphic translations Haman is not even seen to be just a person's name, it is also stated as a job. Secondly, I am sure you are aware that alot of the qu'ran is based on word of mouth, which is why so much is palgerised from the other Abrahamic scriptures. There s absolutely no reason to believe that information from Eqypt wasn't passed down in excactly the same way..

The quran has nothing scientific. 67:5 says that "stars are missiles to shoot the devil" and not what they are, huge suns. In 41:12 it talks about 7 heavens, the old false belief that the universe was divided in 7 heavens. But if you are an arabic speaker how do you translate words madad(15:19), mahdan(20:53,), farasha(51:48),bisaatan (71:19) and dahaha(79:30)? They are words used to decribe the shape of earth in Quran and don t definetly refer to egg shape or oblate spheroid (earth shape). Muslims who donno that "dahaha" means"spread" don t understand arabic. And arabic is the language of Allah so your Quran is corrupted.

The book is a religious one, written from the perspective of humans on earth. The earth does seem spread out to us, and even today people say that the sun has set or risen. @ThaDinoWS It would be more sensible for you to give me the verse where the Quran says that the Earth is flat rather than just giving statements. It is said in Surah luqman Ch. 1: V. 39 and in Surah Zumur Ch 39: V. 5 that the earth is spherical and it is also said in Surah Naziat ch.79: v.30 that the earth is egg shaped (which you disapprove). You are right the earth is obviously not an egg neither is it perfectly uniform. It is geo-spherical just like the ostrige egg is.

No where does the Qur'an say that the earth is flat in fact it says it is shaped like an egg of an ostrich. Allah later says in that same verse that it is spread like a carpet so that we can walk on it and we all know that a carpet is generally used on a surface where that is uncomfortable to walk. The carpet is referring to the external part of the earth which we can walk on and never is it said that the earth is flat.

I think its kinna weird how someone who no one has heard of can make prove all Islam wrong. This video dos nothing but ASSUME like every other video against islam. I am a Muslim, but if i did want to prove islam wrong i wouldn't make a youtube video, i would go to a mosque and find someone with their Ph.D in Islam and ask for their comments on the made accusations. By no means do i think this video is convincing to any muslim or anyone with an ounce of knowledge.

@hannanfayaz Well I have a Masters degree in theology so ı have quite a few " ounces " of knowledge and there is absolutely nothing in this video that is incorrect!. Part of my thesis were the miracles of Islam , and researched them very heavily indeed!...There is absolutely NO miracle in the Qur'an or any other of the Abrahimic scriptures - and anyone with an " ounce " of knowledge and the ability to not be handicapped with a closed mind can clearly see that.

@yeovil50 I couldn't care less if u had ur Ph.d in theology. I like to think that I have a lot of knowledge about religion and science but i would never use my degrees as a bases for an argument. Anyone can win an argument by stating their credentials even though they have no proof. there are a lot of videos on youtube clearing the misconceptions that this video highlighs and i have done hours of my own research and this video is completely false. how r their no miracles in the quran?

@hannanfayaz I am not sure even I started an argument, you stated about "anyone with an ounce of knowledge". Well I do have an "ounce" of knowledge. You "couldn't care less about my knowledge" because obviously it doesn't fit into your thinking - which is quite understandable. Ok I will let you start - NAME me any of of those " miracles" in the qur'an and let's debate it - anyone of your choice,and let's compare our wealth of knowledge and let others decide..ok?

Even as being a Muslim it is impossible for me to precieive all the miracles of the Quran, beacuse there are soo many. Okay if you want to debate...you say that part of your thesis was on the miracles of the Quran so surely you know about the miracle of Hamad because it is one of the most popular, what is your answer to that?

@hannanfayaz It is actually the Miracle of Haman not Hamad. It is actually one of the easiest to dispell. Firstly in hydroglyphic translations Haman is not even seen to be just a person's name, it is also stated as a job. Secondly, I am sure you are aware that alot of the qu'ran is based on word of mouth, which is why so much is palgerised from the other Abrahamic scriptures. There s absolutely no reason to believe that information from Eqypt wasn't passed down in excactly the same way..

@yeovil50 If it is "the easiest to dispel" why is it that nothing you said corresponded with historical content? If you know anything about history, you would know that Ancient Egyptian content was lost to humans for ~3000 years because of the language barrier. Haman is not use as an occupation it is used as a name in the hieroglyphic language and his occupation is also stated as a architect which the Quran also states. for someone with their masters in theology u have alot of ur facts wrong.

@hannanfayaz I am sure you are going to lead me to Bucaiile and may to Rank:)...and his "Dictionary of Personal Names of the New Kingdom ". in which was the blatant lie of the name Haman being mentioned of maybe you are going to go down the Harun Yahra route and his " The name "Haman" was in fact mentioned in old Egyptian tablets. It was mentioned on a monument which now stands the Hof Museum in Vienna". There isnot even one tablet that says i let alone many the museum closed eighty years ago!

Okay for the sake of argument what occupation is Haman? i have read alot of work on the miracle of Haman in the Quran and not one critic supports anything you have mentioned. thats really the problem with theology; it wants proof for a religion and once given it will come up with rideculos excuses not to belive in it.

The quran has nothing scientific. 67:5 says that "stars are missiles to shoot the devil" and not what they are, huge suns. In 41:12 it talks about 7 heavens, the old false belief that the universe was divided in 7 heavens. Today muslims try to say that "it is only referring to the 7 layers of the atmosphere", but 41:12 says also that "the stars are located in the closest heaven"...PFFFFFFFF! So it can't be the atmosphere. LOL..Too close

I'm surprised that some people claiming these things and uploading youtube videos about quran having a "flaw". it just shows that Satan truly has alot of handy minions..first off the part when it talks about the earth "being flat" is total misunderstatement... Sadly the intellectually challenged and lazy (and the duplicitous) will always gravitate to such nonsense. the Koran, Bible, and Torah are not worth the paper they are printed on. They ignored the principles and twisted the teaching's of the Quran. Of course, I'm not talking about all Muslims here (I'm one). I'm talking about the law officials and Sheiks who play with Islam's teachings. In its heart, Islam is a very peaceful religion. It's wonderful.

-And surah 33:91 does not even exist. There are only 73 verses in that surah !!! and its not called Luqman. Luqman is in surah 31 not 33!!! (surah luqman only has 34 verses).
-surah 13:2 doesnt say what you quoted but it says this "Allah is he who raised the heavens without any pillars".

All the doubts remained me. But still I was afraid of hell so I didnt quit islam. But when I read Osho's books when I was in college, I got enormous guds to think freely. Then suddenly my faith in Islam got evaporated.

thanks for sharing your stories, i can relate to it. I am an ex-muslim as well, I have always had doubts, but after looking into the so-called miricales i became athiest at 17. I am fluent in arab is it is my native langauge, so i am well aware of the defintions misintprion games they play. Since then i have read loads of books form both sides (muslims and non-muslim shcolars)..which made my athiesm stronger. :)
