Another quick question: Would it work if I record all my stuff on a 424 MKIII then plug it in to an interface running in to my PC, then (with Sony Sound Forge 10) should I record with the software each individual track to master, or should I just press play on the whole song to master?

You can't capture each individual track in its own pass (on a regular 2-channel soundcard) because the tape speed, and to a lesser extent the soundcard's sample clock, always drift, and by the end of a 3 minute song the tracks will all be a second or two out of sync. You can work around that by using one track as a reference and speed-correcting the new ones, but it is a ton of work.
