It's funny how that, in the very first level you enter, you find the game's last and toughest overworld boss.

It's a glitch that happens on emulators, I think. If you are loading a save state instead of the actual game data, try loading the game data instead, remember to reset first, if that doesn't work, then I don't know what will.

You can get the blue key from inside the giant tree, you should be able to see it on the other side of the tree when you climb up far enough, climb a little more and go left, you should see a hole you can go through, drop down and grab the key.

i played this game some years ago, it was my first gameboy color game and still one of my favorites ^^

I bought this game from a friend and I just fell in love with the soundtrack and the gameplay. This game isn't that hard when it comes to completing it, but if you wish to complete it 100%(with all musical coins), it'll be a nice challenge(the coins, especially, since they are VERY hard to find without any FAQ). I definitely recommend this game to any gamer.
