First of all, people, albino lions really don't have much chance in the wild. Most albino species don't. However, if they have them in a zoo, then they were probably born in captivity. The cubs don't need to be at their mothers side 24/7. In the wild their mother would need to leave to get food, so a period of time away long enough to show the press shouldn't hurt. However, I do agree that there's too much noise for the little guys, though, it doesn't seem to be bothering them too much. :)

First off, this was 3 years ago, by now they most definitely DO NOT need their mommy. Secondly, if you did any research on the matter you'd find they were from a litter of 4 that was rejected by their mother. One cub died, I don't know if it was the mothers neglect or something else that caused it, but she REFUSED them! They were NOT "Stolen" from her....should they have been left with her to die a slow(painful) death from starvation?

@PleezTeachme White Lions actually aren't a genetic fluke. Most of the time they blend into their surroundings without any issue. From what I've read they're from The Greater Timbavati, where they live easily :)

They are not Albinos at all. The white color is a recessif gene. The white lions live very well in the bush, though rarer than "yellow lions". They are found in South Africa in the wild, in the Transvaal (Timbavati).

@InvaderAbbyM there are video on here of wild white lions. They are very rare in and out of captivity. But they are breeding for them. like with dogs you put two together that will give you what you are looking for, so they are trying for them but it is a natural color.

Sometimes cubs are taken in order to help reproduce population, esp if they're endangered... maybe, the mother died, or if the mother rejects her babies b/c sometimes that happens! Sadly white lions dont usually survive in the wild, that's why they are taken into captivity sometimes. They cannot hunt b/c prey sees them too easily :( that's one reason why they are rare...
