  • Beautiful, just beautiful !!! Thanks for sharing :)

Oh, Love your skirt by the way.....where did you get it? I am looking for something just like that !!! Blessings

  • You made this on my 8th birthday! Awww

  • thank you so much for sharing this. it was beautiful

  • that other woman is too old to be pregnant

  • nice video...congrats to you and ur new baby,u have a nice and happy family.godbless..^_______^..

  • Your baby shares a birthday with me!! Haha congrats <3

  • now i really do wanna give birth =) this video made me go emotional.....i love it ^^ beautiful girl too, i mean the mother that is ^^

  • WoW..I had a tear run down my face watching this beautiful experience ..I am a 42 yr old male bad ass..

  • so beautiful! I cannot wait to meet my little man. Congrats to you and to your beautiful family!

  • I went from clannad watching Nagisa have a baby and now i'm watching home births

  • Congrats! She's gorgeous!

  • Research drugs, interventions, and many statistics and studies about all of this, just like anything knowledge is power, and you can decide for yourself. Good luck to every women out there who wants to make the best decisions, make informed ones you are comfortable with. Ask questions, get answers and ask more than one person, read more than one book and enjoy every moment!

  • Things can go wrong no matter how uncommon. Each of us makes decisions and we have the right to make this one of where to have our child. Hundreds of thousands of people every year choose to have surgery for different reasons, they choose to rock climb, hike, and go caving. We are adults, and we choose what risks we are willing to take.. if something "goes wrong"life happens, and we can get through. Nobody should have to feel like they should stick to one persons opinion.

  • ALL I CAN SAY IS CONGRATULATIONS!!! My mother had a few of us 8 kids at home and honestly 3 home birth 5 hospital and no interventions at any. So hospitals can do it right, but home birth can be perfectly safe. I don't think there can be "one way" to do anything. Every situation is different, and for me, I consider it a decision to be made with every pregnancy after careful consideration and prayer.

  • beautiful family! may God bless you.... :)

  • grandiose

  • I Love it very well done...

  • That was so beautiful. Thank you. Im due in Oct and am looking forward to an unmedicated birth this time.

  • that was so beautiful to watch. I could just feel so much love. Brought me to tears. So happy for you and your family.

  • Aw how sweet! Thanks for sharing your experience with us...I just did a video about home birthing. When we have our next child I'm so doing a HB. Take care:)

  • I cannot share in this blessing, and there are times when I wonder what my body could do if it was capable. I am sad to know that I will never experience something so beautiful and natural, but I am grateful to you for sharing your pregnancy and birth with me, so that I can at least pretend, and grieve. I now understand. Thank you so much.

  • belissimo!

  • beautiful!!! (^_^)

  • 00966508633539

  • This was beautiful! I cried.

  • Amen! Beautiful family

  • her asshole is beat up

  • @mmafan82 Tru Dat.

  • You are beautiful!

  • @thegame546444 Hospital settings make birth harder for most women as there's bright lights, medical equipment, strangers etc. Women are taught to hide their bodily functions their whole life because it's "gross" so when it's time to give birth in hospital they cant relax and get into the mindframe to give birth and it causes complications. At home, birth can occur with less complications. Dont call it selfish, having a baby is not a medical emergency. Women arent obligated to go to hospital.

  • @Jennivision

    Well said !

  • @thegame546444 this family is erring on the side of caution by having their baby away from sick people with HIV, drug resistant TB, VRSA and a ton of other hospital aquired killer germs. Do some research before you judge. Anyone who does NOT do research about the safest place to have a baby is the one who shouldnt be having babies. Humans are mammals. That means we ARE designed to give birth. Its differnet when there are risk factors. Midwives screen for the facotrs that increase risk

  • @angelmom3950 Mmm, a milf...

    So, what are you wearing?

  • @Truthiness231 OMFG NM, just seen the profile picture... if only I could not only delete my previous post, but remove any braincells that might remember that picture as well...

  • who the hell could put something bad against something this beautifull dont let anyone get you down im so jealous the thing i want most in the world is a family it is the most precious thing congratulations xxxxx

  • Crying now :)

  • gross

  • Yes, beautiful and most tasteful. Thank you for sharing your special moments with your fellow beings. My niece is a Nursing Doula. She sees/hears so many sad stories of how women get controlled by doctors and even their own families. I thank the universe that there are beautiful birth experiences and that at least there still exists in parts of the population loving families that choose and keep their personal rights and dignity intact. Blessings to you all.

  • awww

  • lovely lovely labor and birth. I think it was so nice the way the siblings were included in this natural, safe process. For the record, the reason 25% of women "died in childbirth" was #1: infection and #2 hemorrhage. We now know about germs, and the home is far cleaner than a hospital, and we know how to prevent and manage hemorrhage. Women were never keeling over from the process of birth. :) Most women worldwide STILL deliver at home with other women attending. It's the norm!

  • sweet...

  • I will bypass commenting on all the truly ignorant replies on this video...

The position you had your baby is exactly the way it should be done! I have had natural births (no drugs) and I was so frustrated that the hospitals make you fight gravity and nature to give birth flat on our backs feet in the air....

  • awwwwwwwwww the precious gift of ...LIFE...may God be with ya little one for alwayz.. and the world too <3 blessing us all with hiz protection and hiz love

  • Beautiful Video God bless your family:)

  • guys should try an at home lobotomy next

  • Thank you for sharing this. It was clearly a wonderful experience that your whole family was able to share in. Seeing videos like this just makes me feel even better about my decision to have my baby at home. You have a beautiful family and thanks again for sharing!

  • Wow...I am absolutely appalled at all the negativity on here! First of all if you don't want to see it DON'T WATCH. The title clearly states what it is so you can navigate your little cursor to the back button and be on your merry way, Secondly hospitals are swarming with bacteria and germs. In fact hospitals are one on the most common places to contract MRSA. Grow up people!

  • @armywifeee73 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, & thank you again !!! I am appalled by the ignorance of the SAME negative people as well. I truly appreciate you taking the time to write your response. I agree with you too.

  • why are people even watching this just to be disgusting about it. just dont watch it simple really. you've prob just ruined a very special moment in someones life, grow up

  • Jesus tap dancing Christ!! Just because you have a video camera and an internet connection does NOT mean you have to share every moment of your life with the rest of the world. Tape the birth. Pull it out at Christmas and BBQ's and enjoy. The rest of us do not want nor need to see this part of your life.

  • Can I request that youtube doesn't suggest this video to me just because I wanted to hear some Blues Traveler? Also, I though nudity was banned on youtube?

  • Well, i just think its wonderful that you were able to be at home among people who love you and who were there to make you as comfortable as possibl and how beautiful that your children were able to be a part of it. I gave birth in a hospital & i wish i would have felt that wonderful

  • Hard work with a lovely ending. Good for you!!

  • aww me and violet have the same bday happy late bday violet

  • are you for real???

  • We had an amazing home-birth. Midwife: a.k.a "specialized in birth"! My midwife had 6 years of midwifery education at a state accredited school & 13 continuous yrs as midwife, studied nothing but pregnancy & the birth process, is trained to spot "abnormal" pregnancies - which is only about 5% of all expecting moms, although hospitals would have you think otherwise. They refer all high-risk moms to doctors. If the preg. is "normal" (about 95% of women) it's perfectly safe to have a baby at home!

  • I think this would be a wonderful expierence. Im not married and definetly dont have any children but if i do I would love to do it this way. Me and one of my friends debate on this all the time. Great video! Thanks so much for shareing!

  • 2:28 HAIRY ARMPIT

  • @teatowel123 Would you expect anything less from these earth muffins. I could smell her twat through my monitor.

  • That was such a beautiful slide show :) Thanks so much for sharing it!

  • That of feelings!!

it's an important course surrounded with his family is magnificent to be able to pass!!

In France, we regrettably have no these possibilities, and it is very it's a pity!

I dreamed for this second child that about it I wait...

    friendly !!

ps: sorry my english is awful !!

  • Too many opinions on this page! You had a wonderful birth, your family is beautiful and you are a brilliant advocate for woman-centered-care! You did it YOUR way, and what a beautiful way it was!

  • I commend you. When I watched this i looked back and forth at my newborn and the computer, and I cried. It is amazing that you have decided to share this with us. Thankyou

  • i cant believe that people come on here to judge other people and debate about it. everyone is different and if somebody wants a homebirth thats totally up to them. im sure the moore family didnt put this on here for people to argue about it,more to share their wonderful experience. dont watch it if you have a problem with it.they all look happy and healthy and it was a lovely video.good for you, you did so well.

  • Truly inspiring. Any advice for a first time (hopefully) homebirth mom?

  • Meh, I'd rather see the conception...

  • @Truthiness231 umm ur a true perv if u want to see that go watch different videos, this is just about birth!

  • Hospital birth costs: $6000-$10,000 dollars for vaginal birth. (...wait for it...) *How can you possibly put a price on your baby's health?!?" comes the cry. Well here's another pesky fact: Hospitals are hotbeds for bacterial infection full of very sick people. Not a great place for a newborn with an immature immune system to hang out. Beware of emotion driven black and white "thinking". sweetbabynrs can go argue with the mother of a baby that died *from* a hospital.

  • I'm not in ANY WAY intending to insult midwives!!! have any birthing experience you want just do it IN THE HOSPITAL and not at home!!! many hospitals give them hospital privileges and will give you a room and a tub and whatever you want without the interference of staff. please please PLEASE do it in a hospital where there is an OR just in case? Anyone who wants to argue with me can just ask my daughter if she enjoys being ALIVE.

  • your video is simply beautiful! good job mama and don't listen to those haters! they're just jealous you had a wonderful birth experience :)

  • beautiful

  • This is so beautiful. :)

  • This is such a beautiful video. Your family seems so incredibly loving and supportive. Baby Violet is one lucky girl. :) Thank you for sharing the story of your homebirth with us and best wishes to your family!

  • beautiful almost made me cry

  • Very beautiful! Good job momma! :)

  • well u touched my heart , happy birthday to your baby girl

    very nice video

  • this is crazy that i happened to stumble upon this on the child's birthday! very nice vid, i hope i could give natural birth one day, i dont want to do it HB!

  • Amazing!

I wanted a HB with my second and third, but things got in our way.

  • Beautiful video! :) Im about 34 weeks and planning a homebirth- cant wait! <3

  • It doesn't matter where a person chooses to give birth. If they choose a hospital, fine. If outside of a hospital, fine. If unassisted, fine. What matters is that each person educate themselves and make informed decisions based on their personal needs. I am a home birth advocate, but I don't bash those who choose hospiital births. I do feel that hospitals do unnecessary interventions in the name of profit, which is why my wife and I chose home birth. But I have no right to judge others.

  • it is almost the babys birthday. and you are a good mother

  • BEAUTIFULLLLLLL Thanks for sharing this video with us. Please ignore any negative comments. And you are right we are women we are made perfectly capable of doing this. My grandmother had 12 home births perfectly fine. That is the best way for a baby to come into this world. Am waiting a few more days to find out if I am pregnant. And if I dont have any complications it will be a homebirth.

  • Beautiful job! I had a homebirth last october and loved it. Great work. :)

  • Beautiful job with you HB ( = It was truly amazing, however I would like to comment to the people who bash hospital birth or put women down who choose to give birth in the hospital. I think whatever a mother chooses is good for her and she should not be told otherwise. I gave birth to my baby girl in a hospital on New Years 2010 ( = It was beautiful and not traumatic at all!! I loved the staff everyone was down to earth and my birth experience was amazing! Our 2nd is due in August ( =

  • It just shows the ignorance level of our country. We Americans are one of the dumbest developed countries in the entire world. Don't let anyone bring you down regarding natural childbirth. You did exactly what you are supposed to do. AND you did it all with using your brain instead of following the herd. Baaaaa baaaaa.

    Beautiful mama. :)

Good for you for doing it right.

  • @bewlaybrutha

Educate yourself. Home births have way less complications due to less interventions. Research it or even ask doctors, they will not deny that less complications occur in home births than hospital births. Even if an emergency arises, it is law to have an ambulance on call while you are in labour during a homebirth, and usually complications are forseen long before full labour takes its course. Its completely safe.

  • I dont get people. Why come on here just to yell at someone for their choice. If you dont like it, dont do it. Simple as that. Good for you and congrats!

  • Omg people need to get OVER IT! i dont see all of you bitching when it comes to people living in little grass huts and the moms go poop a baby out in the grass so get over it theres nothing you can do to change what people do. It was crazy seeing how big the butthole gets tho! the pain of your butthole getting that big would be enough for me to go to the hospital! lol

  • @shebabe03 lol

  • @shebabe03 Do you know what those women that are pooping their baby's out in the grass are dreaming about? Hospitals! With clean white sheets and doctors and nurses and equipment and drugs.

  • YOU ARE AMAZING! THAT WAS GREAT! I AM PREGNANT WITH MY FIRST AND WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THE HOME BIRTH EXPERIENCE! BEST WAY TO GO FOR A HEALTHY PREGNANCY!!!! :) FABULOUS.

  • I have always agreed with HB. Hospitals are just too chaotic for the birthing of a baby, and doctors are in too much of a hurry to get the baby delivered. HB is great. My mother had me and my younger sister at home, and that's exactly what I plan on doing. Pregnancy is NOT an illness-a hospital visitation is NOT a requirement. For hundreds of years, women had their children this way-at home-and if God didn't design us for that, well...hospitals would have been created after Adam and Eve

  • oh my goodness...how could anyone say that this was a shameful experience? MooreFamily, this was an exciting time for you, and thank you so much for sharing it with us! May God bless you ^_~

  • beautiful and I loved the song choice!

  • @sweetbabynrs you are truly living proof of the kinds of close minded, stubborn and brainwashed people that go into the medical field these days. you have obviously not done your research and are 100% ignorant on the topic you're attacking. i myself am a nurse and plan to go to graduate school and become and certified nurse midwife. so i'd like to think i know a little about what i'm talking about. midwives ONLY take on low risk pregnancies and they are more than fully equipped should something

  • @xxxsternenlichtxxx Thank you for setting sweetbabynrs (and others) STRAIGHT ! She is exactly what you say. Nothing "sweet" about her AT ALL !

  • @sweetbabynrs happen. it's true that childbirth can be unpredictable and it's sad that most of that unpredictability is caused by the "routine" and "safe" procedures done in hospitals. but you know, you could be struck by lightning when you walk out your door. you could get hit by a semi on the interstate, you could fall in the shower a hit your head and drown. i guess we should all just camp out in hospitals just in case, right? i know HB isn't for everyone and i NEVER believe a woman should be

  • @xxxsternenlichtxxx i have my facts straight, fact 1: I had a completely un-eventful low risk pregnancy. fact 2: I had zero medication when i was in the hospital so no, you cannot blame modern medicine for interfering with the "natural process" Fact 3: had I been selfish and cared only about my own comfort and experience my daughter would certainly have died. no, i am not BRAINWASHED, I experienced it. you want to be a midwife? i think that's GREAT, midwives have hospital privileges

  • @sweetbabynrs forced or coerced into it. but for heaven sakes, please get your facts straight!

  • We had a homebirth with my son, and with the second baby i'll do it just like that if possible.

  • She is beautiful, May God bless her and your family greatly.

  • Thanks for sharing these intimate moments. I had a VBAC un-assited home birth a couple of months ago and it was absolutely perfect -problem free in every way, fast and pain free. My first born was delivered under an OB in the hospital. This left me with trauma that will never leave. Birthing at home is like heaven on earth and makes the world a better place. Your video is so beautiful....thank you thank you thank you......

  • this brought tears to my eyes, this is the most beautiful vid I have eve saw. Their asleep but I just wanna go hug my little girls right now. God Bless

  • you know watching this just makes me want to have kids even more than before

  • This is a beautiful compilation. How wonderful for your daughter that you have these memories to pass on to her! We all grow up fearful of such a natural process; bless you for showing women that labor is simpy the hard work we do to birth our babies, not a medical emergency~

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. I am planning my second homebirth for June 2011 and hope I can approach it with the grace and peace you showed. Please don't waste any of your precious time defending your choices to the non-believers in homebirth, they don;t deserve explanations. I hope someday to have a beautiful large happy family like yours! Congratulations to you all. I was wondering could I labour with my future 3 year old there, but I see you could, so I'm not going to worry!

  • you have a beautiful home and im very proud of YA!!! way to go champ

  • Awww Ok this video made me cry! I had my 2nd baby at home & it was amazing, your video def makes me want 2 do it again...I hope u post video of your next delivery =)

  • First time i saw child birth realy this is God's miracle & blessing.

  • I am a former L&D nurse, who is currently going back to school to be come a family nurse practitioner, and I think this is a great experience. Any patient with low risks and no antepartum problems who wants a homebirth experience should definitely look into it. Unfortunately, many of the problems that arise at delivery are related to drugs or medical interventions. It's a personal decision and not really the business of anyone, but the family and practitioner.

  • wonderful video! thanks for sharing

  • dont listen to any of these crack heads there just jealous they didnt get the chance to do it like you did i had both my kids in the hospital even though i did almost bleed to death because my cervix did not close i had to be rushed to the emergencie surgury but the point is i would love to have a home birth its not selfish its just every one wants to experiance giveing birth in a diff way............

  • Wow! The music was set perfectly!! at 5:33 the crescendo gave me chills!!

GREAT job momma!!! Amazing birth -- beautiful!! Congrats family!! ;-D

  • how come no nudy pics?

  • ignore the ill comments hunny, this was beautiful and EXACTLY how it was done before the invention of hospitals! You did it natures way and it was amazing to watch. I think having your family around you makes it all the more special, big brothers and sisters weren't subjected to seeing mommy hooked up to machines. Well done hunny!!

  • @TantalisingTease

yes before hospitals 9/10 mothers died during childbirth too you dumb fuck

  • this was a very interesting video. i am currently expecting my fourth child and have had the previous three in a hospital, but i am considering homebirth for the fourth. hope you enjoy yourself xxx

  • @listhopper56 I had my 4th at home and it was the best day of my life. If you had straightforward vaginal deliveries 3 times you have very good chances of a really good experience. Thinking of you!

  • My husband and I take the safety of our children and family seriously, and I am saddened that anybody would think any less of us or how much we care for our children because of where and how we choose to give birth. Just because its different, does not mean its unsafe. Like people have said, the stats are very much in the favor of HB.

  • @MooreFamily14

I don't think you should have to explain or defend yourself in any way. You researched what was appropriate for you and your family, and discovered that just because hospital birth is what the majority choose (and what western society expects us to choose) that doesn't mean it is better.

Research consistently shows planned HB's are as safe as hospital birth. Congratulations on a beautiful birth!

  • @MooreFamily14 Great job mama, you don't need to justify your choices for the ignorant... they have access to all the resources that you do. If they choose to live under a rock and march to the beat of the fear mongering medical money monster... that is their problem. Your story is amazing and your children are truly blessed to have you! ;) another homebirth mama here.

  • @MooreFamily14 Anyone who does not understand or rushes to judge is ignorant. Woman have been having babies since the beginning of time. Before your hospitals and before your western medicine. We are built to give birth naturally. We as women are genetically programmed to do this. The more natural the better. More power to you sister for embracing the Goddess within. I will be giving birth in July...as naturally as possible. Many blessing to you and your beautiful family!

  • @MooreFamily14

If and when I have children I WILL be doing a home birth. I think it's wonderful, you're a very beautiful and strong woman. Thank you for sharing this experience. :)

  • @AnotherDay2010 How do you know she's a beautiful and strong woman? She dropped a baby in her living room. That doesn't make her beautiful or strong. Millions of woman have kids all the time and many of them are not beautiful or strong. It means they can take a load.

  • . (continued) She had O2 on hand and everything else needed for him to pink up. My friend who is a nurse in L and D told me the procedures that would have happened had he been born at her hospital, and none of them given all he had going on would have made him better off, in fact, she admits he would have been *worse off* given his circumstances and she is very anti HB and very pro hospital birth.

  • Re: Sweetbabynrs: We are less than 10 minutes in *both directions* from a hospital, one having the best NICU in our area. My MW's have always had everything the need on hand in case something happens that would need attention. My first HB (3rd child) was born with shoulder distocia, true knot in the cord and cord around his neck and she not only got him out safe and sound, but w/o the trauma that would have happened in the hospital

  • @MooreFamily14 that doesn;t happen very often. 10 minute is still to far away if a life or death situation arises. you can still be in a hospital and use your midwife

  • @sweetbabynrs Unfortunately hospital birth is dangerous too. I think as a medical professional you should look more carefully at the research.

  • @sarahcyn I don't need research, I have been a nurse in ob for years and through my own personal experience i know what can and does go wrong. to assume that a midwife is as qualified as a physician and replaces the need for an or on standby is foolish and irresponsible. what if i had been selfish and demanded my comfortable birth experience rather than the hospital where I could be rushed to an emergency c-section. I didn't have any pitocin or pain killers either.

  • @sweetbabynrs You probably wouldn't have needed a CS if you were at home adn relaxed and not being rushed or drugged. Just sayin'.... You can never know how it 'would have been' if you weren't in a hospital and birthing in the hospital didn't begin until the early 1900's.... When 'doctors' would leave them on their backs & legs in the air (an almost impossible way to birth & a good way to tear!) ... The interventions in this country are WAY out of control, even according to the WHO!

  • @sweetbabynrs ,Well if you use the hopsital you are governed under their rules. When things don't go as "fast" as they want, they rush into too many interventions.

  • My second baby was a homebirth... she didn't catch her 1st cold until we visited a hospital were a friend gave birth... Birthing is not an illness!!!!

Way to go Moore family... you did real research, and did what was best for your family!!! your family is beautiful... my 3rd baby is due in January... (Don't worry sweetbabynrs, I live less than a mile from the hospital) you should look at some real stats...

  • You've seen many "normal births" go wrong, but how many were really "normal"? how many of these women were induced...EDD is an estimation... not an expiriation date... how many of these women were drugged up to have babies... have you ever read the side effects of the drugs used for induction and pain relief? so those women CAN'T be counted as having a "normal birth" because using drugs is not normal, of course they are going to cause complications! There's no drugs at home to cause problems

  • @jenniferhowardralph a normal birth is an uneventful birth requiring little or no medical intervention which progresses safely and predicably. my ENTIRE point is that anyone, at any time, during any birth can have the situation i did. yes, it can happen at home. I am flat out ANGERED by parents who defend home births and insist on having their pleasant comfortable experience instead of safety. anyone considering home birth, please put your child before your desired birth experience

  • @sweetbabynrs , wow you are 'angered" at the NATURAL way a baby shoudl come into this world ? You have seriosu issues . Isn't it fnny (nto really) how different peopel get so "angered" over complete different things ? I personally am "angered" when having to deal with anyone in a hospital setting. How do you like those beans ?

  • @sweetbabynrs if the mother is comfortable and relaxed during the birth without any stupid medications or the stress of being in the hospital being rushed by doctors (if they CHOOSE to do a homebirth maybe that's why) then the BABY shall be comfortable and relaxed as well. The mother should have a comfortable experience during birth and the baby shall come out just fine. If you want to be negative during the birth then yes something WILL go wrong.

  • informed women who choose homebirth choose homebirth because they are close enough to a hospital just in case! (from a real report) While neonatal & perinatal death rates were the SAME in Mehl's report, morbidity was higher in the hospital group: 3.7 times as many babies born in the hospital required resuscitation. Infection rates of newborns were four times higher in the hospital, and the incidence of respiratory distress among newborns was 17 times higher in the hospital than in the home.

  • really sweetbabynrs, you're a nurse? What school did you go to? It must be called Misinformed U!!!! It is not gross Each family becomes accustomed to its own household germs and develops a resistance to them. Since fewer strangers are likely to be present at a homebirth than at a hospital birth, the chances of acquiring foreign germs are less likely in a homebirth situation. BTW some stupid Nurse came to work while she was ill with something when I had my hospital work, and I got very sick!!

  • @jenniferhowardralph read my comment again. that could have happened to anyone. had i not been in a hospital we would be dead. and yes i am a nurse and i do know alot about this. your comment about developing a resistence to home germs is mis-informed. if that were true, nobody would get sick or infected. you're obviousely someone with no medical background. i know what i'm talking about

  • Comment removed

  • I had an emergency c-section, my daughter had flipped into the breach position and her heartbeat was gone. I hadn't dilated at all.. they actually RAN me to the OR while putting the catheter in! they were cutting before i was even tied down. she was resuscitated at birth. if i had been a selfish, ignorant mother and had a home birth, she would be dead. that can happen to ANYONE, during any birth, at ANY TIME. I'm also a nurse in OB and have seen many "normal" births go horribly wrong

  • @sweetbabynrs , You don't know this lady. Just because your child was breech and you didn't go into labor when they felt you should, doesn't mean it was a emergency. People Do deliver breech babies vaginal, for your information.

  • @carlismycoolcat

Wow! and many times those babies die or suffer severe neurological deficits from lack of oxygen due to delayed delivery. A breech presentation is ALWAYS an emergency and NEVER an ideal or safe presentation for delivery. Homebirth is a choice andt it is not for everyone. Many healthcare professionals have posted on this site offering sound advice. It is not a criticism but rather an accurate representation of facts.

  • home birth is not only gross, it's dangerous and irresponsible. I'm a nurse in OB and I will tell you ANYTHING can happen and there needs to be an OR close by. it is sooo selfish of a mother to choose her own comfort and the birth experience she wants over SAFETY. In many states, home birthing is illegal, as it should be.

  • @sweetbabynrs some nurse you are if you're going to think a home birth is gross...then you're thinking any birth is gross, every birth has blood, and the other "fluids" that come with it. You aren't a very great nurse maybe a different career would be in place? You're talking from a past negative experience and carrying that negative aura with you. It's not healthy for you or anyone else your spreading it to. IF you're mad fine, go take it out on your husband.

  • This was such an amazing video! I loved it so much.

I'm planning on having a baby and trying to inform myself as much as I can. At first I was scared because most of the videos of a birth are just about screaming and pain and blood but have nothing about love, happiness a family feeling... But then I found yours.

Thanks for this amazing video. Watching you video makes me realize the birth of a baby goes beyond what I mentioned before.

Now I know I really want a baby.

  • @UneNena Get the book "Special Delivery" by Rahima Baldwin!!!

It's out of print, but available on amazon.com for a few dollars + shipping!! I'm pregnant with #4 and this is my first time reading this book -- It has become my absolute GO-TO book for all things natural-labor!! Invaluable!! Check it out!

  • Wow how exciting, congrats on your 5th baby! I know what you mean, I trained myself to change my perception, and instead of focusing on the birthing waves as being "painful" I recognized them as a powerful, intense, but wonderful sensation that was helping me bring my baby into my arms. It made all the difference. I'm not pregant now, but I find myself wanting to be pregnant again so that I can experience giving birth again, it was that AMAZING!

  • That was very touching! I gave birth to my baby girl at home and it was everything I had ever dreamed of and more, I feel like I know birth now and scince we aren't strangers anymore the next one will be just as great! Since you've done it a few times I have to ask you, does it get easier with each new birth?

  • @mynaturalchildbirth This was my fourth birth and really they were all different. I do not know if saying "it gets any easier" is correct, but I think with each birth you learn something about yourself and how your body handles the birth process and you can in turn take this into your next pregnancy and birth. I am currently pregnant and have had positive memories of Vio's birth that make me actually excited to give birth again in April rather than focusing on the pain or what not.

  • you are brave to do that i try to do something like that but i was at the hosp. i was triyng to go nature you know without med. well the twins would not act right so i had to have my belly cut open well i tryed but girl you are tough and brave. may god bless you and your family . my baby factory had to shut down because of lack of fonds.

  • Wow, I don't have any kids (yet.. I'm 25), but that was truly an amazing video. And although you went through a long labor, you did a great job! I can only hope that if God ever blesses me with a loving man and a child, that my pregnancy will go as yours did!

Congrats to you and your family and best of luck! Thanks for sharing the video!

  • Thank you again everyone for all your kind words. It amazes us that people from all over the globe are writing and encouraged by the movie we made for Violet. I am also very happy to announce that we are currently planning our 3rd home birth for our 5th child, due in April of 2011! I hope to be able to make a movie similar to this for our newest little one so stay tuned! :) Jenn

  • This is the most beautiful video....brought tears to my eyes...thank you so much for sharing...I love how natural the whole process was having your family around, your children, doing it a home...It makes me definitely want to do a home birth....Thank you and God Bless your family

  • @sweetbabynrs i am sorry that this happened to you but that doesn't mean that EVERYONE needs to be in a hospital to give birth. in some situations, it is better for the mother and the baby to have a homebirth.

  • i like ur video, but i dont think we had to know that u went to do IT after the festival lol
