I think Morrowind certainly had better atmosphere and story, but Oblivion's gameplay is far superior (lockpicking and fighting are based off the players skill, for example)

have you honestly never heard of oblivion? wow it came out in like 2006 i believe. but its one of the best games made, its a free roaming game where you pretty much do anything you want, you can follow the main quest line, or not. you can join the dark brotherhood for instance (pretty much the mafia of the mid evil time) and in the main game there is approx 250-300 hours of gameplay, and one of the expansions adds 40 hours.

It is a really good game, but 250-300 hours of gameplay is a bit of an overstatement. I'll admit it's possible to rack up that much time if you do every single side quest and remember to keep going to the arena every week and shut every single oblivion gate and etc. but somewhere around the 80 hour mark this just stops being fun. The quests just start getting too repetitive after a while. But, 80 hours is more than most games give you so why try to over hype it.

There is no multiplayer, its an massive RPG. The story is told in the trailer: the empire is under attack by evil creatures which respawn from oblivion gates. They want to take over the wrold, or oblivion and restore the Mythic age.

You got to stop that. Ive done the game and it took me 109 hours 27 min and 17 seconds XD

Not to compleet the main quest but there is sooooooo much to do.

Not multiplayer. Rocks like hell. Story goes as in the first game you are in a dungeon and must escaped. second game you have to save the land of tamerial from doom of a wizard. Third one i nvr -played. Oblivion is the emperor dies and the king knows he will die next while the oblivion gates meaning hell and that are oepned. Mostly you can do w/e you please or follow the story.

I have morrowind, and it's good, but I simply can't wait till I can play oblvion. I just got a new computer, and I'm getting oblivion soon. Everything looks so much better in this game. Combat and magic look kick ass, and it looks way more relistic cause the NPC aren't there just to get in your way and for you to kill, now they appear as if they actually have some sort of life. Oh, and physics rock.

Trailer isn't bad, but doesn't do the game's justice. My GOD, it's THE most BEAUTIFUL game I have ever played. I can't believe how real the graphics look. I don't like how it (seemingly from this trailer, though not in practice) puts the character in a preset role...Well, look at the Morrowind trailer.
